FORCE NINE. (23/10/12)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  A storm at Porthcathon in December 2009. The second picture is taken from the headland above the breaking wave in the first image. Yes I did get wet.

Some good news and bad news today. The Badgers are safe for another year but the cows will all be dead from TB. I wonder what Wheetbix and muesli taste like with water on?

I suspect Dithery will now announce yet another policy. Persecution of Pandas, whacking of Wildebeest, hanging of Hares, annihilation of Anacondas, poleaxing of Polar Bears………….Just a few  suggestions to help him with yet another costly and ineffective plan. Forget the action…….Dithery is an ideas man…A daft ideas man!

It’s very foggy here today so though we’ve been out for a good wander I never saw anything. Certainly no Badgers coughing with relief and spreading pestilence in all directions.

It looks as if we may have snow towards the end of the week, I hope it is snow and not slush.

That’s all for today. Enjoy the mild weather whilst it lasts.

  1. Thankfully the Badgers have had a stay of execution. I think Dave's best idea next would be to resign; along with this incompetent government.

As for the weather, I hope it's not too much snow.

    1. What you are saying, Keith, appears to be that they should make way for a competent government. Where are we going to find one? Recent evidence would surely suggest that the phrase competent government (almost anywhere) is an oxymoron.

    2. Keith, he will go kicking and screaming. I have little faith in the opposition.

  2. Super photos Adrian. Given that it's nearly November and yesterday and today I've been in the garden in short sleeves a dose of storm reality is a good reminder of why I for one am grasping these days as if they were the only two of the year. Come to think of it.......

  3. GB/Adrian, I seldom discuss politics, but if this lot carry on, I can only see anarchy in the country. Labour, without Millibland at the helm, are one of the alternatives.
If the Mayans were right, it's not going to matter anyway.

    1. Keith a meritocratic republic is the answer. Monarchy only supports and encourages the sort of people we have at the moment.
Ed Milliband got there on merit, so despite his faults is worth ten Camerons to me.
I just hope we get another damp summer as I dread the consequence of a hot dry one.

    1. Grace, You just have to accept that most folk have a vote but are incapable of understanding anything that is more than a syllable or a second long sound bite.

  7. Like your first two photos. When I was in Hawaii and the waves were crashing in you could feel the ground shake! It was enough to make a little prairie boy nervous.

  11. Adrian, you just made my day. I'm so glad the badgers will not be culled for another year. I don't understand these policies. Sparrows disappear, badgers sick or not get shot....okay okay....what in the world....

But that ocean mist looks inviting. I love when the waves splash against the rocks and a little water hits the face:) Thanks for the updates.

    1. Chris, they are probably safe. They will start innoculating. The year is just to save face. Why this lot need to save face is beyond me. Everything they touch turns to sand. They have no experience of management.
