TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE? (05/10/12)

pan04103  The sky last night taken just before the rains came. If you enlarge this by clicking on it you will see that next years oil seed rape is just poking it’s heads out.

I wasn't going to post today but a fellow blogger has posted here at HDR PHOTOGRAPHER. This bit of freeware looks to be the answer to all Canon users dreams…..Okay a slight exaggeration….He has a link in his post to Magic Lantern which is well worth investigating. I can’t use it at the moment as I’m still using the Oly E-3.  If you aren’t interested in free bracketing software it also does interval timing, brews tea or coffee, bakes sticky buns and guarantees a date with Uma Thurman…..So have a look. His images are well worth seeing so for non Canon users it won’t be a wasted visit.

It’s raining again now but we had a grand walk across the fields this morning. I suspect there is not much in the camera to show for it but I’ll see in a minute when I've posted this.

Enjoy a fine and warm weekend.

  1. Magic lantern is what they first called the primitive projectors not that I'm old enough to have experienced them.

    1. Red, I actually had one as a child. The slides were about 3" square. I seem to recall there was a stereo viewer as well.

    2. The stereo viewer rings a bell but I can't remember what it was like.

    1. Wah, I hope I've got your name right.
You can take control of HDR by using Photomatix. Ask if you have trouble.

  5. Brilliant information. Thanks. Will give that a coat of looking at. It did lead me to a firmware update for my 50D that I didn't know about so that is now installed.
