We left Kingswear at first light. After a beautiful day yesterday, today it has taken four hours to cover one hundred miles. As the weather is considerably worse the further north we go I decided to stop here at Strensham and see what tomorrow brings. To pass the time have taken a few snaps of the car park.
All the above are taken with a star filter and a 2 stop neutral grey filter.
Keep warm, all the best.
Looks a bit Christmasy. I bet Molly loves the snow
ReplyDeleteNice shots Adrian. That star filter is sure earning its keep.
ReplyDeleteSome nice scenic places not far away. Bridgenorth on the River Severn, Ludlow (nice castle)and Stourport to just name a few.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to wear that star filter out ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you got a change from that everlasting rain. Very wise to stay put for a while until this lot passes over.
You are near to me, but I don't think that there is a chance of meeting you, cause we can't with all snow around us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I should have mentioned that those pictures are really great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Adrian. I've been planning to take a run up to the mountains and get some snow shots, but haven't so far. Your post has inspired me so perhaps I will do that in the morning. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you stopped rather than pushing on and risking life and limb!
ReplyDeleteI love these shots. My favorite is the last one with the red blurs!
I'm getting very fond of that star filter! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI think you may be waiting it out for a while there Adrian. The snow is hitting with a vengence. Take care mate.
ReplyDeleteTony, she does when it's fresh, when it gets a crust she thinks it's grabbing her feet when she breaks through.
ReplyDeleteTrevor thanks, was thinking of backtracking a bit for Slimbridge, will see in the morning.
John, yes it will get taken out of the camera bag and forgotten eventually.
Bob, No coming down with a vengeance now.
Tricia, thanks, look forward to seeing your photos.
Penny, was hoping for more light trails but not many cars moving.
Pauline, mine was second hand but I don't think they are very expensive. You can do it in post production by using the brush tool, takes a while mind.
Keith, that's why I stopped BMW drivers coming past at 90mph, they are brain dead!
Love these photo's,part of my christmas holiday tour was in Great Malvern,we managed to get out before the snow came, only to get stuck at the airport overnight because of ice and permafrost.Take care on the rest of your journey.
ReplyDeleteNever has a carpark looked so pretty. I can imagine a spoof meme . . . Car Park Tuesday. I expect lots would join. I'll have to think of some challenging angles.
ReplyDeleteLucy
Great shots Adrian.
