THE LEAST SAID. (08/12/12)

A much warmer morning than I have enjoyed for a while. A clear and windless walk. The only blot on the landscape being that a fox has had five hens……A very, very naughty fox.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA      This could become a rare tree. This one seems fine at the moment. Ash die back has disappeared from the news. I am waiting for the next disaster to strike.

The Duchess of Cambridge is out of hospital. There could be a bit of a conundrum to be sorted. Should she have twins then which one would be first in line? It is accepted that the old union rule of ‘Last In…..First Out’ should be employed. This could be reversed as the first in is to my perverse logic the eldest. I just hope that long before a decision has to be made they and we will be living in a republic. Re-reading this unless we have a right Royal disaster then I will be long past caring.

Tomorrow I have been invited out for lunch so I’ll have to get polished up, give the dogs a good brush, grab a bottle of wine and catch the bus. The forecast is good so the couple of mile wander to the bus stop should be dry and pleasant.

You have a good weekend and enjoy the week to come.

  1. That looks a very similar sunrise to what I had here this morning.
Royalty, hmmm, on a par with religion as far as I'm concerned.
    Enjoy lunch.
Wine? Sounds awfully posh dear chap.

    1. It's going to be very posh Keith. It will be our Christmas dinner or I hope winter solstice dinner. Best 501's on and a clean shirt for me.

  2. Beautiful sunrise and tree Adrian, Let's hope the tree is around to see many more sunrises.
Shame about the hens but that's a fox just being a fox I guess!
Enjoy your lunch tomorrow and remember to be on your best behaviour, I just hope you're in a fit state to walk (straight!) those two miles back home!....[;o)

    1. Trevor, a good morning it was. Good for the fox especially. They have just about stopped laying so it could have been worse. The hostess is a bit fierce so I'll be fine getting home. I must remember my headlamp.

    1. Hilary the Ash trees have had it here I suspect. I'll enjoy them whilst I can.

  4. I had never given a thought to the probability of twins and what might happen with who would be heir to the throne. On the other hand for me it's not worth worrying about.
    Have a great day.

    1. Red. It is first one out that gets the prize. I have a nagging memory that when the French had a Royal family they chose the second one.

    1. Grace, we lost all our Elms thirty years ago. The Elm is just a hedgerow plant now. I'll check my trousers.

    1. Horst, it is a terrible thing to lose large mature trees.

  7. Now, as Crocodile Dundee would have said, "That is a tree".

    What's a bus?

    1. Graham, a bus is a big van with seats. They form part of an integrated transport system for the great unwashed. Also for drunks. Last time i was on one I noticed that they are discouraging drunks....They had a couple of signs up saying that there was a zero tolerance policy towards inebriants....probably just the driver it referred to.

  8. Hope you all enjoyed your meal.
Brilliant tree Sunrise. So many different trees are being attacked these days makes one wonder how many native trees will be left in a decade or so.

  10. Love that shot. As for the fox and the hens...well that made me laugh. Someone had a very good meal:) That would be terrible news if the Ash tree permanently disappears from your landscape. Such a wonderful tree to have around.

    1. Chris, it only ate two. Just left the others dead. The loss of Ash trees would change the landscape for the worse.
