ALL GONE. (14/03/13)

It has been a raw, vile, wet and miserable day.

I ricked my ankle on the salt marsh this morning and am feeling sorry for myself. Come on…..altogether now…..AWWW!

There was no sea about this morning as we are experiencing the vernal equinoctial tides. These are both the highest and the lowest spring tides one can get. Amazing what they expose but there was little interesting exposed here. The odd old tyre took care of items of interest.

That’s about it for today…………….I did find a Shetland pony but I only got one shot as it tried to bite the camera. The pony came out too blurry. Vicious little devils are Shetland ponies. Pity Tesco can no longer use them.

These common birds were taken last week.

Lets hope for a better day tomorrow.

    1. Any good shots I get are purely accidental....I was trying for the Woodpeckers. The Sparrow just hopped in the way.

    1. Nik de pony zou nog steeds als ik een pistool had. Ik geniet van uitersten. Jammer dat het laag tij niet iets van belang te ontmaskeren.

    1. Aye Keith. It has been a non event winter but it is dragging on. Freezing rain here today. The Sparrow puffs his feathers up to keep warm. So do we....Alf has chewed a hole in the duvet...the van is full of feathers. I look like the ugly duckling.

  6. Hi Adrian the ugly Duckling. At least you don't have any snow falling right now. Here in Edmonton Canada, we are having up to 30 cm of falling snow right now. Hope your weather is going to warm up for you soon, and the same for us here in the frozen north.

    1. Red, here we say if you can't see the horizon it is raining and if you can see it it is about to rain. After a good sunny three weeks we are back to normal.

  9. Really like the House Sparrow Adrian, but I keep looking at the images with the tide out and can't help thinking Curlew lurking somewhere in all that mud.

  10. Douglas there are lots of Curlew. They will be heading up hill to breed shortly. The TurnStones were having a whale of a time. New feeding for all the waders.
    The ducks were not happy.

The dogs just think they have more seaside, the more the better for them.

How life is for me. I love seeing the birds but if i want a picture it would be cheaper to ask.

My snaps are all free at the resolution I post at.
