I had a very frustrating day yesterday. The Spyder colour profiler arrived. I very carefully followed the instructions. I very carefully followed them four times.
My screen is now much better. It does have a slight green cast to it but the effervescent colours of the past are gone. I have been on the internet for advice and it seems to be a common problem does green casting. Sounds like fishing without hooks or lead weights. The consensus of opinion appears to be get used to it, shut up and stop moaning.
The display was not the only frustration of the day. Intermittent showers had me running for cover half a dozen times. Not easy carrying Bertha and castigating the dogs for there tardiness. I kept going out to get a definitive image of a Hooded Crow. Eventually one did settle close enough but a blasted Oyster Catcher chased it off before I could get to the camera……I’m a shadow of my former self.
I did have a wander to look for Otters but they were somewhere else.
There are several of these but this is as close as I got to them and then it was a rear view. It was just one of those days.
Today I’m backtracking about six miles to Glencoe. The bottom end of it this time. I will have to call for some shopping so another busy day.
I may or may not have internet so If I’m missing for six days then that is the price I’ll have to pay for visiting a hole in the ground.

Keith, apparently there are plenty of Hooded Crows. Thanks for the Wheatear, I should have known that but It was pretty dark and gloomy when it posed.

ReplyDeleteDouglas just above the waterfall it's fresh water. I went looking for Dippers. It looks like Dipper country but no sign of them or the Kingfisher.

ReplyDeleteMargaret, birds do wind me up. I've just got parked in Glencoe and the first sound to great me was a logging truck....the second was a Cuckoo. They are the number one illusive bird.

Margaret, I notice you are on Google plus.....I did once sign up for Facebook and regretted it so much I spent three days un-subscribing. I have a plus account and will have a look at your bird pictures but I daren't comment.
DeleteThe steam looks like the perfect place for otters. It's probably a good stream for fish if the otters aren't keeping the population down. I think otters are easier to find when there's soft deep snow and they leave their tracks.
