Yesterday was not one of the better days for driving the seventy five miles from Glencoe to Foyers. The rain was torrential and with the snow melt it meant most roads were an inch deep in water. We arrived safely and went a quick walk in the rain. A horrible day it was.
Today is much better but it is not photography weather.
The forecast is looking much brighter so tomorrow I’m hoping to get some video of the falls. I’ll have an early night as for some reason I feel very lethargic.
Windy as anything down here to, hope the weather improves soon Adrian
ReplyDeleteDouglas, Thursday looks to be the day for good weather.
Deletehugs to the pups
ReplyDeleteI will do R.Mac.
DeleteGlad you made it safely Adrian.
ReplyDeleteLike wot Douglas said, we've got a strong gusting wind here....I've just spend the last 3 hours doing a Heath Robinson job trying to shore up my garden fence that was beginning to 'sway' (more than a little!) in the wind....thankfully it's not raining and is quite mild.....[:o{
Trevor, it is pretty grim here. I hope the shoring was successful. There is little worse than a damaged fence.
DeleteVery moody atmosphere. I hope the skies clear up for you soon.

Mersad Donko Photography
Mersad, we need snow and then a big freeze.
DeletePerhaps offer a glass of whiskey outcome?
ReplyDeleteBas, that is an excellent idea.
DeleteAll the best Adrian... it's a bit windy but very mild in Cheshire. the wet stuff is forecast for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, snow up here with a bit of luck. Keep dry.
DeleteHi Adrian glad you arrived safe adn sound. we had wind yesterday on I.O.W. but it is mild today
ReplyDeleteMargaret, it is usually mild round the Solent. If it snows there then god help us.
DeleteI hope the forecast comes true for you, Adrian. It's been very dark and windy in these parts, but mainly dry. Some brighter light would go down a treat!
ReplyDeleteRichard, It has been pretty grim this past fortnight. I don't mind the cold but I would like to see the sun.
DeleteThat's some brutal weather. yes, there isn't much light as far as photography is concerned. I found that out yesterday.
ReplyDeleteRed, it will be worth it when the sun shines. It looked a bit grim from your pictures.
DeleteAdrina, these immagine are beautiful... wish you a merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura, don't eat too much.
DeleteGreetings from Dubai!!Glad you made it safely and hope the weather gets better.Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteShantana
Shantana, this si Scotland so the weather is the weather. Whether I like it or not I have to weather it.
DeleteLet this Christmas all our wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays from Salamanca.
Villa, let us hope they do.
ReplyDeleteLethargic? What you need is a course of "Philosan" as it fortifies the over-forties in Foyers.
ReplyDeleteYP, the nearest shop is twenty miles away and I haven't got the energy for the trip.
DeleteDefinitely a day for photography, if the top photo is anything to go by. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFrances, it can look a whole lot better. There is plenty of snow on the mountains so I'll pop out later for some long exposure shots.
DeleteDavid and his wife drove over from Kelso to Uig on Skye and then up to here on Saturday breaking the journey at Plockton on Saturday night. He was very fortunate and missed the worst of the weather.
ReplyDeleteGraham Saturday was a good day, they picked the only good one for a week. The waterfall at the top of Glencoe was as good as I've ever seen it. It was far too wet for a photograph though.
DeleteBrilliant Loch pictures!
ReplyDeleteRuby, tomorrow looks as if it will be the best day for a while.
