HAPPY NEW YEAR. (31/12/14)
Happy New year to you all.
This is as good as the fireworks are going to get unless I spend another week. Perhaps I could get it sorted for the Chinese New Year. I’ll have a go as I’m not happy myself.
Well Done Adrian ~ they are the only fireworks I will see tonight ~ although given the amount of traffic out and about, seems like no one is home tonight. Apparently they are using drones over the Sydney fireworks tonight for the first time. Happy New Year to you!
Carol, it's as well that you have nothing to compare them to. I looked up the Chinese New Year. I have a month to sort out a proper job. I don't know what happened to my streamer of sparks. It's there in Object view but wouldn't render even though I have emission and materials on it.
What a shame that you could only afford the ONE firework Adrian..but hey, that was a good idea to put it on a loop...that way we can enjoy it over and over!!
Happy new year Adrian...I'm looking forward to seeing and reading many more of your highly entertaining blogging exploits during the coming year!..have a good one...[;o)
Trevor, I intended to do more by duplicating this one and playing with the physics and colour. I couldn't so this is all you are getting. I have the mortar shattering quite well and the bits spinning and streaming sparks but then it kept going LTTs UP. I'll get there for the Chinese one or ours in 2016. PS. I was hoping for a fillum with bangs and all. I even downloaded some wonderful bangs but they don't work on GIF extensions.
Margaret, I bit off more than I could chew. I am not good enough at the basics. This little bit is only middling. Chinese New Year is February the nineteenth. Plenty of time to sort the job as long as I don't pop it on the roundtoit pile. Happy New Year to you.
Thanks Peter. I just think I can work bits of Blender then I have to learn more bits. There are lots of good tutorials but the good ones take for granted bits I skipped in the beginners ones. I think this would pass has a half decent firework. I wanted two or three and big bangs. Ho Hum. Tonight I am second camera so no lighting decisions for me. I'm doing closer ups and we have a directoress who tells me who to close up. I will be wired for instructions. It will be her fault when I foul up....Make a change. I have a Sony F5. It's heavy and has lots of buttons on; which on pain of death I mustn't touch it is all set up dipputty do. It records to a thingy and she can see it on another thingy and issue instructions to me. It has a big leaver which they let me work. That I push and pull when she says. I have had a couple of goes and up makes it go out of focus and down does too. I guess I missed a bit.
Frances it should take a couple of hours. I like creating in 3D. I promise I will get better.
I have fallen in lust with a tall rangy girl. She is doing sound. I hope my equipment is tested but I suspect sound checks and clapping loud are the limit of her job description.
Well I couldn't have created a New Year's message like yours in a month of Sundays with a fair wind behind me. HAPPY NEW YEAR! And thanks for being the phenomenon known as...Adrian!
YP, of course you could. If I can do it anybody can. I can't do it. I will get it sorted now if it is the end of me. I'm just off to do some work and lust after a sound lady. Happy New Year.
John, it is amazing that the same software can be used for things as disparate as designing model trains and as silly as making fireworks. I wanted to incorporate so much more but it is very difficult. Others seem to manage so It must be me.
Hi Adrian.... A new year is just a number to me, same old thing just a different day and year! Hope your's will be a good one. I hope to get back on here again, but no resolution, just hollow hoping ;) .
Thanks for taking the time to make ad share your creations with us! It's fun to read the processes you use, and I'm impressed with the results of this New Year's card... Wishing you, Mollie, and Alf a terrific 2015. I look forward to following along :)
