ACHING. (05/05/16)

This is the third go I've had at posting today so I'm not going to waste any more time.
Yesterday we wandered into town but it was dull and dismal.
The brightest thing I saw was this Oil Seed Rape.
Upon our return I spent an hour or two messing about with video titles. I wasn't going to post them but decided that the Highland Ponies were better than I thought they were, they were salvageable.
There were several adjustment layers on this video which made it a whopping 2.22GB. I put it through Handbrake and got it down to 12MB but the first title sequence was showing banding. I ran it again at 169MB and this is what transpired. It looks fine to me.
I've got an aching back so will have an easy day.

  1. Your single shot was a very good one, and your video made it seem like a nice enough outing.

    1. Marie, I'll try and get some more pictures of the ponies. They are friendly beasts.

  5. The rape is a wonderful shot! And the video is also fine--- I couldn't see any artifacts from the compression--- none whatsoever.

    1. Bill I see the video is now on the dashboard and only twelve hours late, blogger must have had a bit of bother. It is a grand piece of software. It allows one to concentrate on editing and not on file sizes.

  8. The letters A I look really spectacular. You are mastering Blender.
Pony riding doesn't look a very comfortable method of moving from A to B.
You picked just the right spot near those puddles.

  9. John, I suspect Photoshop would be easier but it is now £45.00p a month and Blender seems to do most things with a bit of a shove.
The letters have a glass shader on which never used to render well but it has now improved, no fireflies and I didn't use any clamp for the render.
I will stick with this video editor now and try and exercise restraint. There don't seem to be any limits but just because I can doesn't mean I should. Simple is often more effective.

    1. Graham, I had an altercation with a horse on Saturday afternoon. We both tried to go through the loose box door at the same time. The horse won. I'm much better today.
