INSEX.

The dogs and I have been out this morning looking for something rare. Neither I nor the dogs found anything unusual but there were dozens of Bonking Beetles bonking away on Hogweed.

Common Red Soldier Beetles. Shameless they are.

This should make you smile.

Have a good weekend.

  1. The compound eye on the second photo is very clear.

Good comedy - many a true word is spoken in jest.

    1. John, the second image was shot at 3x magnification. Although the lens will go to 5x 3x is the practical limit as I can't light stuff any closer.
Andrew Lawrence is an idiot but I enjoy his videos.

  2. Brilliant. I got slaughtered recently on a well known blog for saying this about the WHO and that Trump was right.

    1. Rachel, Trump is more often right than wrong, the WHO are just an expensive joke much like the NHS.

  4. Ah back to your Bonking Beetles. I actually got so far as making a note to get my ring flash out and bone up on using it again. It will depend on how isolated I stay until Christmas given the amount of things I haven't yet done that are on my list.

    1. Graham, I had a good friend who worked for BAC as an supersonic airflow chap. His subject was far faster than he was. He used to spend ages making lists but rarely crossed anything off them.
