BLESS MY SOUL.

Bless my soul, send me to the foot of grandma's stairs...........Just practising. The battery in my Kindle has died and it is a bugger to replace. Not expensive at around ten pounds but all the little screws are a pain and require dozens of special words to remove and replace. At least the little devil isn't bonded together, you just need a bit of stiff plastic to prise the front off. The back is fixed to the screen with lots and lots of tiny screws, once that is off a few more release the old battery. I must remember to do the job on a tray or pound to a penny I'll lose half of them.

I usually have a fry up on a Sunday but had run out of sausages and eggs so I had to pop down to the Co-Op. The light was beautiful so I took a couple of snaps.

HIGH STREET.

MADRAS ROAD. The place at the end is the haircutters.
This is exactly what it says. This sky looks as if it will rain again but it feels cold enough to snow.

I'll leave you with this, I think it is the Isle of Lewis.

Graham will know.

Enjoy your week.

  1. Graham's hibernated.

They are a bit mean about parking in your town. It all looks very Scottish.

    1. Rachel, Graham is about, he was on Mark's blog a day or so ago.
The double yellows are purely advisory here, possibly just to brighten the place up. This bit was resurfaced during the summer and it took the line painters several hours to get the cars shifted for long enough to re-decorate. Nobody seems to pay them any mind.

  2. Rachel, it IS all very Scottish. With a name like Auchtermuchty it couldn't be anything else.

I haven't been there since a funeral a few years ago. I first went with a friend whose parents still lived there and were old 'Muchtyites.

Adrian it can't be Lewis.....the bear is too upright.

  3. The little village looks lovely in that light although it probably looks lovely all the time. The Co-op looks quaint to my eyes which see grocery stores as ugly, soul-less places.

    1. I Like the place Pauline.
The Co-Op is a funny little shop, no chance of social distancing but they are fine. Masks can be worn but I saw something wonderful last week. A lady had her glasses steam up, she took them off and then removed her mask and used it to clean her specs. She heard me laughing and realised what she was doing.
