UPLIFTED. (14/01/13)

After a night of rain, sleet and snow dawn arrived and the sun shone…..it has stopped shinning now but at least I enjoyed three hours of cool and beautiful weather.

First thing this morning I devoted myself to the mark three modification to the water system on the truck. I am keeping my fingers crossed but the plumbing seems perfect now. Long may it remain so. I’ve had a right royal carry on with it.

carnbo14113 A panorama from the copse at the back of the camper. This is an HDR image and stitched. The Canon behaved for the first time. There will be ups and downs but I found all the buttons I wanted without resorting to nasty Anglo Saxon expletives. Things are looking good today.

IMG_0010_1_2_tonemapped_edited-1This is my favourite light. The colour still needs a bit of a push to suit me but things are looking better.

I am now away to rig up a harness for Big Bertha. We’ll see how that goes.

That’s all for today.

  3. Those are some beautiful photos, Adrian. I like the second one the best, probably because the shadows add so much. You're right, the light is fantastic.

I'm glad you gave up the Anglo Saxton expletives--does this mean you switched to French?

    1. Jolynne, the French are not a particularly fruitful souce of expletives. The Spanish are much better.

I wish they were that good. I shoot off a tripod but didn't today. Swapping camera systems is hard work.

    1. Katherine...No I have four inch square filters for this lens. I'm too frightened to use them. They comes in posh leather wallets...one at a time....so they should for what they cost!
I love golden biscuits but prefer to smoke it.

    1. Cheers Norma, I hate to admit that I try never to waste a shot but I do post process. I do cheat a bit these shots were all taken with a two stop grad filter and then taken without. Two burst each then processed in Photomatix.

  12. While I am in agreement that the pictures are very nice, does anyone but me see the horse with cute ears facing left or maybe a giant rabbit in the lower right corner of picture 2, look in the shadows.
