Yesterday afternoon Google kindly signed me out of Blogger. I signed back in and had nothing on the dashboard and no reading list. I then tried to access my gmail account and couldn’t sign in. I went to help and they were insisting I fill a form in for connecting to friends, It appears I am in circles. I never knew what it meant but I do now; Boogering dizzy I was. I eventually found a page to put my blog address in. They told me it was invalid. I went to bed.
This morning I opened my blog signed out and signed back in with a defunct e-mail address and password. Bingo…the Dashboard was back to normal but still no gmail. I signed in with what I think is my new Google ID and password. I have gmail and Dashboard. I’ve un-boogered myself.
It was too cloudy last night for star trails. Thank God, I needed some sleep.
I meant to include this yesterday. It’s a very useful bit of software if you are a travelling photographer. It’s free so even better. It works all over the world including Loch Ness as you can see.
Another beautiful summers day. Summer is forecast to last until late afternoon.
Two men in a boat away after Salmon. I think it may be a bit sunny for them. There are plenty of midges and mayflies so they may get lucky.
I came back fed the dogs and had a quick look at the crossword. Then out I went Macroing. I couldn’t find the adapter for the ring flash. I have a box of adapters for this and that but was it there… was it Boogery. I got on to SRB Griturn; the source of all things like that. No they don’t make them. I got hold of Harrison Cameras and they haven’t got a Canon one but are expecting some in. Twenty seven boogling pounds. They will post it for nothing. Boogled again.
I’ll have to sort out Bumble Bee identification. this one is either a White Tailed or Buff-tailed. I suspect they are one and the same. It crash landed and started doing the ‘I’m too full dance.’ I popped it on a fence post to recover.
Buttercup. It’s a Meadow one I think.
Herb Robert. I will have to get a new umbrella. I was using the old one to aid my recovery to a vertical posture but it bent in the middle; it is the last thing I’m buying from the Pound Shop.
Rhododendron…..What make I don’t know. They are terribly invasive but do have beautiful flowers.
Changeable Forget-me-not. Ta Trevor.
A plant that is called a Compound Umbel. I think this one is Cow Parsley. They are the very devil to tell apart. Angelica is easy as it has a red stalk. Giant Hogweed is a doddle as it is taller than me. I bet someone has written a book on Umbrellas. I wrote a sentence earlier.
That’s all I’m off to sit in the sun whilst it lasts.
I thought a booger was a deposit from your nose? Bit lost with your Google problems ~ were they real or imagined? Enjoy the sun :)
ReplyDeleteCarol, I think a Booger is a sodomite. The thing you pick from your nose is a bogey.
DeleteImagined......I have better things to imagine. I have endless trouble with Google. They keep buying trusted companies like Blogger, You Tube but cannot be arsed to give you just a universal sign in or log in ID. I have tried to use my gmail address but they won't accept it as log in ID a right royal pain they are.
The sun is great twenty degrees with a cool breeze.....Perfeck.
Adrian, in AUS, a sodomite is a bugger, and a booger is snot. What's more in AUS, Google does give us one login to access all their services ~ my email gives me access to Blogger, You Tube, Google+, email and anything else I want to use. I am really confused that you don't have that same access.

DeleteCarol, I invented Boogle and booger. I like inventing words. A sodomite is a bugger here too. English as what it is spoken in different places is wonderful. Booger is brilliant I'll remember it's a bogey.
DeleteI have no chance of getting to grips with google. They happen don't want to know me.
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, but your photographs are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBob, it happens once a year or so. I can sort it but try as I might I can never remember how I sorted it. I must learn to relax and treat it as a voyage of discovery.
DeleteThe photos could be better. I anticipated using a couple of strobe lights and a tripod for some really crisp ones. I lost the adapter ring...I have just thought; I bet it's got in the big allumnium coffin where I keep my medium format film stuff. I forgot to look there.
A great photo of the two men in a boat, lovely colours.
ReplyDeletepeter
Peter, even better if they had taken the dogs with them. The dogs wanted to go.
DeleteGreat macro shots, and two men fishing, anything to keeping things cleaing at home, lol.
ReplyDeleteYes Bob, I never saw any fish feeding all day so I suspect they were skiving.
DeleteI love the cow parsley and forget me (k) nots images.
ReplyDeleteSadly your disappearing blog list/dashboard isn't unique it's one of the reason's I keep a reading list down the side of my blog. I normally find clearing my browser cache/history sometimes resolves it. I do have to say your Gmail id should enable you access to most Google services it does for me.
I also like the floating cloud too
Douglas, I lost the list of my blogs at the top of the dashboard as well. I cleared the cache but hate doing it as I then have to remember loads of passwords and other sites I haven't bookmarked.
DeleteI use three different for YouTube, Blogger and Gmail. I did try using the one and it caused chaos.
I love these macros Adrian, especially the buttercup.
ReplyDeleteI get the dashboard problems frequently, where the blogs I follow have disappeared, and a little message telling me I'm not following any. I usually just refresh the page until my blogs I follow load up.
Cheers Keith, Yes that seems to be normal. I lost my own Blogs It was a blank Dashboard.
DeleteThe flowers are great at the moment. Even had a few Orange Tip butterflies out yesterday but I never saw them settle.
I get the same problems and do the the refresh thing until I get my followers back. In case you don't know how to refresh it's "F5" but I'm sure you know that. Great macro's by the way.
ReplyDeleteHorst it is a pain. I like macros I really enjoy the tiny flowers a mm or so across. It's going to rain today so I'll see about focus stacking some indoors.
DeleteHope you've caught up with your sleep! Loved the timelapse of dusk until dawn, and have had the 'Starry Starry Night' imbedded in my brain since watching it. I caught my breath when the stars appeared in your presentation. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour selection of macro photos are stunning. Certainly worth all the effort you put into them.
Glo, thank you there is much room for improvement. I have written a storyline for the next one. I could do with filming it over two or three days but it's rare that we get two or three days good weather.
DeleteI enjoy macros. It's interesting seeing tiny things close up.
There been a bit of boogery around here lately, too. So glad there is now a word for it. Thanks to Holding moments for the refresh tip, I'll test that out next time. Just as well the troubles haven't made any impact on your photography - that would be serious!
ReplyDeletePauline, they made an impact on my neighbours. I forgot I'd got all the windows open when I was telling Google what I thought of them and their systems.
DeleteThe same thing has happened to me where the blog disappears. Fortunately I'd read about blogs disappearing. The info was to wait and the blog would show up. It would be nice if they could warn us our blogs were disappearing for so many hours and not to worry.
ReplyDeleteRed, they used to let us know in Blogger Buzz but now all they do is put rubbish there about four times a year.
DeleteSee the second picture. I never realised there was an active volcano on the shores of Loch Ness. Is it Ben Ward?
ReplyDeleteYP, I just knew I was not going to get away with not having to write it's name. Here goes:
DeleteMeall Fuar-mhonaidh........It means Mountain of the cold moor and is pronounced.........Meal four voony. It was only active yesterday morning. I'll pop up and measure it it may have grown a bit. It was about 700m.
Beautiful wildflowers Adrian!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maria.
DeleteI love everything about the two men in a boat, the water texture, the colours, the posture but on closer inspection I was more fascinated by the composition. As the man on the left was facing the right with the fishing rod pointing that way too, I would normally compose the boat to the other side of the picture with space on the right to breathe. However you have blown that principal out of the water as there are no set rules on what you should do. Thanks for the inspiration in being so ... err ... controversial :-)
ReplyDeleteJay, it's a square crop, it just looked better this way.
