A LAZY DAY.

The weather has been rather pleasant these last few days. A bit of a frost first thing but dry and really quite wonderful. The car windscreen was icy but the new driving licence is more than a match for a bit of frost, much better than the old one. Knew it would come in for something sensible.

I called into town for some of shopping. The CO-OP still had what it usually has so no bother there.
A good day.

  1. You are lucky. Our Co-op was decimated of fresh food and much frozen food too. I couldn't even find any Quorn. What I want to know is what people are going to do with all those chickens and all that meat given the fact that everyone is going to have to devour all the fresh vegetables they bought.

    1. Our CO-OP isn't like yours it's a poky wee place. A dozen loaves and a few tins of spaghetti hoops is about as adventurous as it gets.
I don't think folk have thought things through. I suspect many are lacking the equipment to do so. I hear CalMac are not taking bookings but I suspect the truck ferry will be running.

    2. A dozen loaves and some fishes and you've got everything you need to feed a multitude. Easy peasy. Yes. I got a message from Calmac saying no more bookings before 15 July. I've already git three journeys booked but whether I'll use any of them is in the lap of the proverbial gods.

    3. Do they still have the lorry ferry or does it all come on the new one?

    4. The MV Loch Seaforth does a commercial vehicle run during the night.

  2. The local shops have what I eat, meat. The sold out stuff is all junk in packets and jars from the international section and things I haven't a clue what to do with and never buy anyway. I went to the local Indian Restaurant for a meal on Sunday night. They made me very welcome.

    1. Rachel, it seems to be affecting the large stores here. Lord alone knows what folk are doing with all the stuff.
I guess any restaurant would be happy to see you.
