MUCH THE SAME (25/06/11)

A nasty drizzly day………….the sort of precipitation that is almost invisible but soaks one in minutes.

GB at EAGLETON NOTES has posted on a recent visit he made to the Butt of Lewis. The photographs are wonderful but he mentioned the Shipping Forecast. It reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ywku0lQYNc

Yesterday I found this little fellow, a juvenile Pied Wagtail.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA       Shouting at all and sundry to be fed…………..

Unless the weather chirps up then that is all for today. have a good weekend.

  1. Cute little thing!
I a couple of Blue Tits have decided to nest underneath of our gutters...never seen these birds nesting before, it's quite interesting.
Weather? well, I thought it was supposed to be a warm sunny week-end! Did the weather people get it wrong again??

  4. Awww, a real sweetie :)

The shipping forecast seems to be becoming something of a cult. It has recently been set to music by composer Cecilia McDowall and is to be performed by a choir in Portsmouth Cathedral!

  6. DeeBee, it rather looks like it.

Abe, welcome back.......we have three Wagtails in the UK Pied, Grey and much rarer Yellow.

    Kevin, they are entertaining.

    Horst, thanks.

Jan, It has been set to music before. It is very poetic in it's own right.

Bob, I hope it made you smile.

    Laura, glad you enjoyed it.

  8. Carolyn, I only knew because I saw the adult not far away........I have been known to mistake juvenile Robins for Wrens.

  9. The clip was hilarious. I loved the bit "Rock...all" amongst many others.

You've just made me realise that the bird I was wondering about this morning was a juvenile female Wheatear. Thanks.

  10. He is brilliant if you get the chance to see him. Works an audience to perfection. I like the way he says .......GOOD!...Thanks for posting your post, though why it should have triggered that train of thought is beyond me. I wish i knew my own mind. Juveniles are the very devil to identify butin my case it makes little difference cos folk always put me right.
