BALES. (14/09/12)

It’s a very windy day. It’s only raining now and again. I was out early and should have stopped out.

‘The Royals’ have had a bad day and so have I. I have had to switch the radio off. The Duchess of Cambridge upset by the pictures of her brother-in-law sans his clothes has got in on the act. At first I thought Wowee! Then I heard from her husband that it was grotesque. Not a very nice thing to say about his wife’. I suspect they are going to need help if the Windsor line is going to continue.

Enough……….. here are todays bales.

P9143897_898_899_900_901_tonemapped2_edited-1   Bales and Hogweed.

P9143887_88_89_90_91_tonemapped_edited-1                Bales and Tree.

P9143882_3_4_5_6_tonemapped_edited-2

P9143892_3_4_5_6_tonemapped_edited-1 Just Bales.

Have a great weekend…….Have fun but try and keep your clothes on.

  8. Black and white settings for the bails, and, poor old Catherine, should keep the curtain closed.

  10. Had a good laugh at your opening comments about the Royals (wouldn't mind seeing her topless, even if her husband doesn't!). The black and white treatment really suits the bales. Lovely landscape photography.

  13. For just bales you've made some very interesting images.

  14. I do like #3 with the long shadow and brooding sky. There is still a place for b/w (grey scale) photography. For me the central subject in #1 tends to stop the eyes from taking in the rest of the scene whereas the shadow on #3 helps to draw the eyes across the scene. That is a superb composition IMHO.

  21. It's the third one for me although the composition in the second is outstanding. A tidy farmer may have alternatively given you a boring image. Hope you kept warm over the weekend !!

    1. I have a trial RAW converter. It will remain a trial version at £275.0p it's pushing things a bit. Capture One it's called and is better than Lightroom or Elements.
