MISTY MORNING. (09/05/14)

It looks as if we are going to enjoy a few days of heavy showers interspersed with persistent rain.

I’m still trying to get close to the Otters. I still haven’t succeeded. I went out before breakfast and didn’t get wet so not a bad start to the day.

_MG_8290   If you look carefully you can just see the van just left of centre.

_MG_8289 Loch Ness.

_MG_8288   Loch Ness again.

If this weather doesn’t improve I’ll do some more time lapse. I’ve a few ideas to inflict upon you.

Have a great weekend.

  1. "Hunt the Otters" sounds like a board game.

    1. But hiding the otters in the first place might be tricky (if its like hunt the thimble).

    2. Frances it isn't like hunt the thimble. Otters are furry things like giant aquatic ferrets. Unlike ferrets they won't fit inside ones trousers.
Though I agree they are difficult to hide.

    3. So you've tried fitting an otter inside your trousers, Adrian? Hmm. That casts you in a whole new light.

Ps How did you get on with the ferret? Did it bite?

    4. Frances, I'm busy elapsing.
I have only seen folk putting ferrets down their trousers. I'm not brave enough to do it.
If I thought I could tempt them with a promise then I would try it. I've spent hours trying to film the little blighters. I can't explain why as there is hours of perfectly adequate footage on YouTube......I think I'm strange.

    2. Adrian, I know what fig is. We get it here too :). I just had another look at the photo and they are pine trees I now see on the fat side of the loch. I think I desperately need some new specs.

    3. I also need a new iPad ~ bloody touchscreen keyboard!!

Fig should read FOG. Fat should read FAR.

    1. Trevor, so am I. I went down just before lunch and I got soaked. I'll find them before I leave here.

  4. If the weather doesn't improve, come down South! That pint is waiting for you, Adrian.

But you are lucky to live somewhere where even poor weather looks so beautiful.

    1. Frances, I usually head down in Autumn. I go to see the Hairy Birder and Trevor. They take me places for blurry bird pictures. I'll see how far you are from Milton Keynes.

  5. You could even do a time lapse of the clouds rolling into the landscapes. Would work very well.

  8. You may be trying for otters but I'll take the fog on the lake , through the trees and in the hills. Great photos.

  9. I'm happy with the fog while you wait for otters. It's very atmospheric, must be lovely to watch it come and go.

    1. Pauline, I'll stay in today as it's very wet out. I'll do another time lapse of flowers. Watch the Formula 1 qualifying and read a book.
I don't think I can keep the camera dry. I'll give it some thought.

    1. Laura, que es un país que amo. Cote de Morte es hermoso. He pasado un poco de tiempo en Rota. Muchos meses. Debí haberme quedado y mi escritura española habría mejorado.
