I have been here a week and it is a grand day. A stiff northerly breeze is keeping the temperatures down to a manageable 9oC. Not bikini weather but I don’t need a jacket either.
I shot these as I was playing with the Canon FD 28mm f1:2.8. It is a bit soft but that could be down to the lens in the adaptor. I quite like the old worldly effect.
I have moved onto the top of the cliff as It looks as if it will be a starry night. I shot a bit of time lapse video and the flicker is almost gone. I don’t think it would be good for epileptics. It did my head in editing it. I’ll see tonight if it is sharp enough for star trails.
Lens test
That’s all for today, I’m away for a siesta.
Looking good Adrian, all you want now is a nice clear night!...[;o)
ReplyDeleteTrevor, I am sitting here watching a clear night at 0020h. It isn't going to go dark.
DeleteAtchhhh
ReplyDeleteI'm envying
Laura, it is an impressive bit of coastline.
DeleteLovely pictures, but the time lapse made me dizzy. And what was that running up to beach on the right? it went rather fast.
ReplyDeleteFrances it made me feel a bit ill editing it. It was a lady taking her dog for a walk.
DeleteAh.
DeleteWhat a fantastic location! Great photos, and looking forward to more starry nights :)
ReplyDeleteGlo, I'm here for a few weeks so as the nights draw in I may be lucky. I don't think it is going to get dark enough tonight. I'll give it another hour. it's 0027h here and will start getting lighter in about an hour.
DeleteI have sat on those rocks on the beach in "daylight" at one a clock in the morning.... early 1990's but lovely memories.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, it is much the same tonight. There's a bank of cloud on the horizon which is cutting the light a bit.
DeleteTake the rocks out of the second image and the beach would look like that of a Mediterranean island is the beach/sand that clean!
ReplyDeleteDouglas, it is spotless. It doesn't seem to collect much in the way of old oil drums and bits of net. I've never seen anyone litter picking.
DeleteGosto muito do mar e essas fotos estão fantásticas. As cores das águas e das rochas...magníficas!
ReplyDeleteObrigado Maria, It is like the Atlantic coast of Portugal.
DeleteLet's hope there's no coastal erosion during your stay or your campervan will become a boat - like a giant "Supercar". Remember that?
ReplyDeleteYP, thanks for your concern but I checked. I'm surrounded by limestone which is not very stable but have parked on a bit of Lewisian Gneiss. It has been here for about 3 billion years so I thought I'd be fine on it for a month.
DeleteI'll have to look up 'Supercar.' I have never watched much television.
Just looked it up. It was before my time we never had a television before 1964. I was a deprived child. I did have a goat and some hens instead.
DeleteA lovely coastline!
ReplyDeletePauline, it is. It's also very windy. The lack of any trees should have told me that it might be prone to the odd breeze.
DeleteAdriaan is what you do in a very beautiful place, what a magnificent view your photos, there's not lying.
ReplyDeleteBas, no they are not lying. It is beautiful but it is also very windy.
DeleteAdrian, you seem to have your blog list plus most recent posts intact. How did you manage it?
ReplyDeleteFrances, I just dropped a widget in the side bar. I think they call then Gadgets now. Then copied folk who are still active into it. If you are talking about the desktop Google mended that. Way beyond me to sort anything so complicated but why it took them a week is beyond me.
DeleteI thought I'd given you rough instructions on how to keep in touch when the Dashboard throws a wobbly. Trouble is you switch off when I say here comes a Nerdy bit. Most of my nerdies are easy. This is porn.
If you go to Layout on the dashboard and then when it loads you will see a little box that says add Gadget click it and then a window will open with a long list of gadgets or widgets. The one you want is MY BLOG LIST. load it up with your reading list and it updates as people post. If you have trouble then e-mail me at adrianwrd@gmail.com and I'll send you some screen grabs with instructions. Have fun. Computers are fun. There is always more than one way to skin a rabbit or sort a little glitch in ones blogging.
