I have been in Kinross since Monday and the weather is grey to dark with occasional showers. It’s not photography weather at all so I’ve been doing a few Christmas cards for the young people that vault.
I have only seen them performing their gymnastic routines a few times but it is impressive.
The photographs are all by Carole Pow and the swirly bits and writing are by me.
All use the Pen Tool, Paths or Bezier curves. Call them what you will, they are the same thing and I have had plenty of time to gain a better understanding of them. Another twenty hours and the workflow and controls just might become instinctive.
I am waiting for a fuel tank for the van as it is starting to show a bit of damp on one of the seams. With a bit of luck I’ll get it back tomorrow or Saturday. Saturday evening there is a Christmas Market in Kinross so hopefully I’ll get some photographs then.
If I don’t post tomorrow then have a good weekend.
What will you do next, a chicken x dog? ha ha.
ReplyDeleteBob, there are plenty of both here. Chicken, dog, sheep and horse.
DeleteImpressive work Adrian, looks like you've got the drop on that one? I never have got the hang of those curve things!
ReplyDeleteI hope the fuel tank goes okay. Have a good weekend and enjoy the Christmas present shopping at the market!!...[;o)
Trevor, strange things still happen from time to time but like anything else it gets easier with practise.
DeleteI shan't be shopping I'll just take some photos.
These are great. What an idea!
ReplyDeleteMaria, a silly idea.
DeleteGymnastics on horses ~ don't think I have ever seen such a thing.
ReplyDeleteCarol, they do it in Oz. It's called Vaulting.
DeleteThose are impresive shot. Hope the tank gets in soon and you have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteMargaret, it is a bit energetic for me. Filling a hay net is about my limit.
DeleteAdriaan what this is nice, but I miss your act though.
ReplyDeleteBas, I'll see if I can manage a Selfie.
Deletehope your weather improves
ReplyDeleteR. Mac, thanks so do I it is starting to get me down.
DeleteExcelentes fotografias....
ReplyDeleteCumprimentos
Fernando, obrigado.
DeleteWonderful images..
ReplyDeleteAndrew, I'll have to get more guest photographers.
DeleteThe combination on these photos makes them very alive. The swirls emphasize the motion.
ReplyDeleteRed, it is a cunning trick. I'll do a few more from time to time.
DeleteGreat looking set of cards.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Christmas shopping.
Cheers Keith, I shan't be doing much shopping and Kinross is only a small place.
DeleteI prefer the first one for an obvious reason.
ReplyDeleteYP, that was the final attempt so much more work went into it.
DeleteThe girl is Swiss so her timing is without equal.
I don't suppose that I'll ever master the pen tool as I seem to go many months between brief attempts.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I had to use it about ten days ago and the job took ten hours. I decided to try and master it. It is an awkward tool but it is very flexible.
DeleteAll that leaping around on horses has left be breathless and all with no helmets, I'm telling health and safety, nice touches to the images I like the last one very dramatic pose and great effects by yourself
ReplyDeleteDouglas, I find it exhausting. Bugger health and safety. I'll get better at light swirls. It just takes a bit more artistry than I possess.
DeleteCool christmas cards!! Love the last one!
ReplyDeleteRuby, they are just a bit of fun. I could spend hours on a wet day playing with these.
DeleteFantástica la sensación de movimiento!!
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
Laura, me gustaría poder hacerlo.
