If the rest of the month is like the first hour of daylight today then I’ll be happy. It was a grand walk, we met half a dozen different dogs and a stag which stood it’s ground and gave my two terriers pause for thought. Serve them right if it had really frightened them.
I have been thinking of a new header. What do you think of this for a concept?
I would only have it run once. I quite like it but there is an awful lot of work to make it perfect. The key framing is a bit off but that is simple to sort. the mask opacity is proving more difficult. I also need a better start image but thought this sky would be as difficult as skies get.
Here are a couple of sunrises. I am not one for taking the Technicolor ones but these were a bit close for comfort.
Have a good week and an even better month. I’ll see if I can finish making my fire works for Bonfire Night.
Before I go I would like to give this a plug. It’s more complex than it looks JOHN’S HALLOWEEN. Much harder to accomplish as as far as I know he uses a linear editor. I was impressed and amused.
And here I have chosen to be headerless. :)
ReplyDeleteJohn, I wish i'd thought of that solution.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your subtle sunrise but I also enjoy the brilliant red ones I see across the Minch from my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteGraham, so do I from time to time like a nuclear sunrise but I rarely snap them.
DeleteI like your new header. I also like your countryside landscapes.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I'll do some more work on the mask and try and find a better background.
DeleteLove the new header idea but please be careful when making your own fireworks. It would be awful if you were blown to bits. The fire brigade have enough to do around Bonfire Night without having to shovel you up as well!
ReplyDeleteYP, it does have possibilities.
DeleteThe fireworks are a 3D animation and I'm in a real muddle with them. My head may explode from overuse but won't need shovelling up.
Beautiful lights and shots. Your new header is very spectacular for me. It's a good idea during this foggy and cloudy autumn season :)
ReplyDeleteKovacs it was time for a change.
DeletePicking up on the above commentcomment, I reckon you should try a seasonal theme. I like it though.
ReplyDeleteI like the first image of the sun trying to burn through the clouds on the first image
Douglas, I don't change them often enough and dying leaves will not last very long.
DeleteI like the header, although it's a bit muted for such a colourful character...? You have such fabulous scenery around you; couldn't you use some of that? We all have sky, even here in the South (though very foggy tonight.).
ReplyDeleteFrances, I'll see what I have in landscapes to fit in with the theme. This isn't colourful but it is quite difficult to get the mask right.
DeleteI like the header as well--- and that first morning shot is exquisite. (or damn good if you find "exquisite" to be too artsy)
ReplyDeleteExquisite is fine Bill.
DeleteI really like the header idea. Less intrusive than the rotating title.
ReplyDeleteBeen a grand day here, wall to wall Sunshine where one could feel the warmth. Top temp 18.5C
Thank for the plug.
John, it will be difficult to get it perfect but then it moves fast enough for perfection not to matter too much. 12°C here but a vast improvement on the day before when I did this.
DeleteHappy November Adrian!!! Love the new Header idea (don't like ANY bugs!!). Have a great bonfire...hope the weather is good here, so we can have a bonfire too---I love bonfire night.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I am not havig a real Bonfire just a virtual one created in Blender.
Deleteooohh---silly me (now Ii'm embarrassed!!). I hope I can get to see it!!! I bet you would love a real one too though :)
DeleteKathleen, yes I would.
DeleteAwesome new header. I'm impressed. Things go much better when there's nicer weather.
ReplyDeleteRed, this was done in the rain. I save such things for rainy days.
DeleteAdrian, that new header idea reflects your ability but not really your personality. The bugs are more you. But, as you say. it's good to have a change occasionally. I just not enamoured of the pale sky. I think I'd like to see something with a bit more "guts" to it. (Excuse my delicate colonial expression!)
ReplyDeletePauline, I'm not sure. I am washed out and washed up a bit like the sky.
DeleteI'll try and keep the idea and get some drama into it.....It's a problem for me as with a bit of thought and time I can work the camera and software but unfortunately that doesn't make me an artist it makes me a technician.
