Much more Falkland than Forest but not to worry. I am not sure what I have on this week but it’s early days yet.

  1. The building in the second to last image is fascinating. However I still prefer the forestscapes

  2. The forest scenes are my favourite but I like the town scapes too. Such a beautiful area! Your own bit of paradise.

    1. Frances, when it's nice it's very nice. Was hoping for more insects today but the mower came in empty, the grass is too dry.

  4. I enjoyed your photos from "away." Love the quaint English villages. So different from small towns here in the US.

    1. Linda, don't let the Scottish Naturists hear you calling Falkland an English village. They will get really revolting.

  6. HDR really works well with buildings, maybe as there is a wider range of colours and possibly contrast for it to work with.

    1. John, it works well with buildings in harsh light but I think it works best with old machines.

    1. Marty I spend an hour a day in the forest. Towns are becoming a bit of a novelty to me.

  8. Unlike me, I know, but I actually prefer looking at Away today. The grand structures and the humble homes, that place really appeals to me.

    1. Pauline, it is an interesting place. Much of it isn't as old as it looks. The church looks Victorian as do several of the larger buildings.

    1. Margaret, the forest is wonderful but the conifers are due to be harvested next year. I expect they will leave the Beech and Sycamore and a right mess as usual.

  10. More excellent images, Adrian. I still reckon, however, thay HDR works better with townscapes and machinery. Perhaps it's something about the business of the forest scenes. Saying that, my best ever dabble with HDR was of a mountain scene on a cloudy day - could have been to do with the simplicity of the original scene.

    1. Richard I agree and the slight movement of leaves and twigs between shots doesn't help.
