SOOT AND STEAM

P7236567_6_5_4_3_edited-1

GROSMONT STATION.................This line runs steam engines from Whitby to Pickering across the North Yorkshire moors. Interestingly enough it's the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Heavy showers rather marred my visit and photo opportunities are limited by the safety barriers. That said it's well worth a visit and I'll be back earlier in the day when it will be less crowded.

Enough of steam for one day, I'll finish with the famous Whitby pole dancer.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Agile and strong for such a small child.

That's all for today.

  5. Like the engine close-up.

And as for the child - Wow. I was never that fit or agile. My answer at that age would have been to get an axe, chop down the post and walk along it.
