It’s been a funny month, funny peculiar as opposed to funny Ha! Ha!
Things are different if not easier. I now have a full time job, cooking, mending and generally pursuing the life of a seaside landlady. Jen my brothers partner is actually the driving force, someone has to be!
It’s time to come back, the posts can’t be the same as twelve hour days don’t allow the luxury of wandering around snapping this and that and writing gibberish. I’ll do my best to entertain and hopefully succeed.
The sun went down for a while………………………..It’s rising again………………….
Sunrise over the pier heads Whitby.
Yesterday I went for a walk on the moor with the dogs, not much about but it was good to have an afternoon away.
Even better to see the heather starting to bloom and a thistle doing it’s best to emulate the ling.
I’d like to thank you all very much for your sympathy, it isn’t easy losing ones little brother but your thoughts and comments were a great help, thanks again. I’d also like to thank Jen for not only running the hotel but for picking up pieces of me as and when required. I couldn’t have got through the last month without her.
Sea fret over Sandsend……………This is HDR and shot from the garret which is now my home for the foreseeable future.
All the very best.
Whichever way you come back Adrian, it is good to see you back.
ReplyDeleteAnd a proper job too lol
All the best my friend.
All the best in your new job - you'll certainly be busy but then again you are in such a wonderful part of the country - moors and sea together - what a wonderful combination ..
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you back with us ,I liked the poignancy of your post in the sun set and sun rise.
ReplyDeleteI wish you well with your new venture in the hotel.
Look forward to more stunning photo's when you have time.
Hi Adrian, welcome back! I have thought of you often and hoped you are doing well. It's really great to hear from you and all of these photos are really awesome. There is a peace in them and that makes me happy to see.

Good to see you back, Adrain. Glad the sun has risen for you again. If one has to live in a garret, yours definitely has advantages. That's a great view.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Jen would say the same thing about you as you have about her.
Good luck as a landlady! I hope you get time to wander the moor on a regular basis.
superb photo;brava
ReplyDeleteTake care, Adrian. Lovely skyscapes.
ReplyDeleteIan told me about Richard. I'm really sorry for you and the family. It's really hard to lose a brother (any family of course) but it looks as if you have a good support team and an interesting project as 'landlady'. As you say, it's doesn't make things easier but it does provide a purpose. Impressive photos. Vicky
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset and sea fret pictures. It must come hard to have to stay in one place after meandering through life for a while. I wonder how Molly is taking to the idea. I assume she is now the hotel mascot and spoilt rotten by the residents.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how I missed your return - visitors and visiting I suspect. I hope all goes well for you in your new role. You've been in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I'm glad you're back and hope you're recovering--and that you don't mind the career change.
ReplyDeleteso the wonderer has lost his legs. so much to seeing more of Wales. I hope Molly has also settled from what you said "dogs" I gather she also has a driving force, no more rolling about in whatever, take care Adrian.
ReplyDeleteThank you one and all, still can't reply individually so it must be time to move on and take up Old Age Travelling once again. Promise to see you soon...........Not see, see is the wrong word but contribute to the enjoyable world out there in cyber space, best wishes.
ReplyDeleteNice Whitby sunrise. It's time for me to pay the town another visit for a photograph session I think
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back Adrian. Fantastic pictures as always. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you back, and what a glorious return - the photos are stunning. The heather and the final HDR are my favorites, I think.
