HAPPY. (07/02/15)

It’s a wonderful day.

LMpan151         Loch Morlich. This is big and will enlarge with a click.

I’ll see if the birds will cooperate in the sunshine.

Have a good day.

  1. Apparently there is a lot of broken glass on the beaches of Loch Morlich. Wikipedia says this "the glass is left over from the Second World War when the area around Loch Morlich was used as a commando school. In particular it was used as a training area for the Kompani Linge (the Norwegian Independent (army) Company, trained by the British Special Operations Executive) because of the close resemblance of the area, both in landscape and climate, to Norway."

    1. Yes there is a lot of glass but all that I've seen is worn smooth. They say it's because they used to throw Molotov Cocktails around but I suspect there was more drinking than training.

  3. Have you elongated that photo, Adrian? It's most intriguing.

    1. Frances, it is three images joined together. Just overlap each one about 25% when you take them and Photoshop or anyone of a dozen programmes will stitch them together. Microsoft ICE is free and will handle several hundred images to make a full 360 degree stitch.

  5. A little sunshine goes a long way. So birds...too much light and they're hard to find....Too dull and they sit still. Good luck in finding some birds.

    1. Graham, I love it when it's cold and sunny. I could stand another few weeks of days like this.
