Drove from Bristol to Stoke Gabriel and parked up, you have no maps , firstly because I have none and secondly because I'm moving on tomorrow.
Once settled went for a wander into the village, suspect very strongly that I missed the best bit, seemed a dead, characterless place but am since informed that it comes into it's own when you get to the river. Should have ordered the map! Or carried on walking!
Found a dead Sycamore Leaf and a Spindle Berry, I think the correct term is seed pod, need to learn the difference. Included the Spindle thing as I like colour and had carried it home.
SYCAMORE AND SPINDLE...........Me being arty............ or nauseating!!
SAME LEAF........well that saved me sweeping the floor and cleaning the fridge out.
AUTUMN COLOUR......... Quite like this effect, same leaf and a few dead Elms.
Now for the only shot of the day, this Buzzard is almost tame, sits on the children's swing, apparently it stays put even with children playing around it. It let me get close, if you can call twenty yards close, but as you can see I got the 'Cold Shoulder'..... Fifteen times!
I love these birds even if the sentiment isn't reciprocated.
That's all.
Great Autumn images. Glad to have found your site. I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun with a dead leaf! Very artistic.
ReplyDeleteBut the Buzzard. Well, I've never managed to get one perched like that; and you go and find a tame one. Lovely shot Adrian.
Love the leaf and dead Elms shot Adrian. Looks like you know your way around Photoshop.. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI thought I commented on this post this morning. If I did please delete the dumbest comment. (I know it might be hard to figure which that is) The 4th photo is wonderful. I get all motivated when I look at your photos, but lose that motivation by the time I get to Paint Shop. Good post Adrian.
