T’INTERNET WORKS. (13/01/15)

It is another damp snowy day. The wind has dropped but I now have thunder and hail to brighten things up. Assuming it doesn’t snow hard tonight I’ve decided to head over to the Cairngorms where there looks to be plenty of snow. I spent an hour watching Buzzards this morning until the cold drove back indoors. They are beautiful to see as the soar this way and that.

Communication now seems back to normal but how long it will last is anybody’s guess.

I am tired of the constant wind and rain. This telecommunications mast is a couple of hundred yards from the van. I like the look of it surrounded by dark clouds and a sprinkling of snow.

Have a good week.

  4. You must be in an elevated position - so close to a telecommunications mast. Just think you could be well away from the cold - on Maspalomas Beach in Gran Canaria dressed only in your lime green Speedos., watching the world go by.

    1. YP, I really can't imagine being on a Gran Canaria beach with the dogs. It would be chaos.

    1. R.Mac, they are not the prettiest of birds but the ones I've seen at bird of prey centres always seem friendly.

    1. Carol, I won't. There is a notice warning of death for anyone foolish enough to play on the tower.

  11. It sounds like you need a big dose of sunshine to get rid of your SAD. However you deserve some down time after some of the creative marathons you've been on.

    1. Red, it is the constant wind and rain rather than lack of sun that is so depressing.

  12. Hope some better weather is on it's way to you. The dramatic weather does make for good pictures though. Cheers,

  14. Adrian, I keep telling you to come south. The weather is not perfect, in fact it's a bit miserable, but it's got to be better than yours.

    1. Frances it is tempting but it is just too crowded in the south. I like it here and when the weather improves I'll really appreciate it.

  15. Weather isn't everything Adrian. Just think how I feel experiencing this weather for the first time since 2005/6: and it wasn't a bad winter then.

    1. Graham, weather does affect me. I can accept it's going to be dark, wet and windy but the odd sunny day would be very welcome.
