BRIGHTER SUN......Will wait awhile before deciding what to do today.
Went out for a walk, OK till I made about the mile mark then, seeing the clouds coming, turned around and headed back. Hadn't covered half the required distance when the heavens opened. Am I fed up, I tell you 'fedup' is fast becoming my middle name. Things just got worse, taking pictures through drips and the bean bag went AWOL through the window. Difficult to decide who is the biggest drip, Murphy's Law immediately became fully operational, it not only disappeared on the side opposite the door but fell in a muddy puddle.
During inundations I have been reading the tome I purchased yesterday, thought I had maybe been sold a pup, no way, it'll last me months..............Have to look up every third word and that's only counting the ones in English!
REFLECTIONS
RAIN.......So pleased to have captured actual rain forgot to straighten this, Muppet!
HARVEST IN
TREES
CART TRACK.......Everything is still pretty verdant, for August........Why is this worthy of comment!! Tomorrow Tesco then back to Haltwhistle via (Latin creeping in again) VERCOVICIVM, another fort, could equally well be a date, looks like something at the bottom of Twentieth Century Fox credits. Before I go has anyone tried tumble drying a map?

Lovely pictures Adrian. And despite the wonky rain shot, I really like that one.
ReplyDeleteGood idea with the map.
It has not rained here for at least 3 days, so I can go along with you feeling "fed up". Keep up the old pecker! Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic despite the rain - or perhaps because of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the map. I find it very helpful.
Thanks, will keep going with this map for a while. If I could purchase Snaggit, then maps could be better. For some reason they won't accept payment. Will try next month from Whitby and use my brothers card.
ReplyDeleteEven though you grump about the rain, I see a lot of sunny shots here too :) I really like the rain shot (that you forgot to straighten)I also like the three trees and the hay bales.
ReplyDeleteI would soooo love to have some of your rain.
Adrian if you just want a screen capture tool, a good free one is 'FastStone Capture'. Have a look at their link, or I've got version 5.1, freeware.
ReplyDeleteI could e-mail the programme to you, it's only small, 1.36MB.
Yes Faye, it's just the sun comes out for 5 mins at a time, gives lovely light, just putting up with the post hour of rain.
ReplyDeleteTa Keith, will download Faststone, Snaggit is good, not that good for the price mind, thanks all. By the way no rain, sunrise and mist inversion this morning, just got back in. Cheers.
Loved all the pictures in this post! Especially the first, the rain drops, and the hay bales! I do love that light between rain, it's always so stunning, and seems so unique to here.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, I loved all of them. ''TREES CORN AND RAIN, reflections'' all them look so nice. I wish there were relaxing and peacefull places like this in London :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with us...
Take care
