My passion is photography but it is a work in progress.

BEACON HILL (10/09/09)
GLAISDALE MOOR.......Three image panorama, with polariser and two stop soft grad. filter. A really beautiful morning. Not a breath of wind nor a cloud in the sky.
THE BEACON.....Will try and ascertain what it is all in aid of. (Apparently not a lot, the consensus is that it just appeared a couple of years ago.)
For once I didn't have to walk.
LOFTUS TO RUNSWICK BAY.......Another three stitch panorama.
SCALING RESERVOIR......Couldn't decide between these two so have included both.
After spending a pleasant hour or so wandering around this moor decided to go back to Scaling Reservoir and give the birds another look. Went to the hide, which was pretty full and the dog wasn't received with unsuppressed joy so walked round the dam. Nothing worth photographing so although a good walk not a very productive one.
This is a really good idea, perhaps not for the fish, a jetty for disabled anglers. Wheelchair access and a fence to catch any errant chairs.
SMALL TORTOISESHELL....There are still lots of these around. Pity about the waterfowl but I didn't miss much, predominately Canada Geese today. I will have to stop posting pictures of butterflies. That or change my name to Papillon.
