ALL TIDY..............Cleaned and polished.
We are in Princetown, a small town of no particular merit or appeal situated in a very beautiful area, the Dartmoor National Park. Maps will follow on the next post when I get organised.
It has two dominating features the TV mast.
And the prison. The Prison was originally built to contain Americans from the War of Independence and French from the Napoleonic Wars. After these altercations were brought to a conclusion it was empty for a while then filled with indigenous miscreants. The latter occupying it to this day.
CARRION CROW........I hope! Was here to greet us and was unafraid of us both. Hopping around the van for some ten minutes while we filled the water tank.
One of three pubs, this is the earliest dating from 1795. We are staying in it's car park so I expect to carry out some research into the quality of it's wares.
MIRROR IMAGE.....No not really, Molly has found a relation.
That's all, the forecast isn't looking good for tomorrow but time will tell.
I love the interior of the van - very swish ... you are certainly seeing a lot of the countryside on your travels !!
ReplyDeleteI didn't mind my desk being in such a mess when I saw your last photo. Now you've tidied up I will have to do something about it. Somebody looks contented with a nice tidy bed.
ReplyDeleteBTW - meant to say - I wonder whether that crow was a Jackdaw by the bright white of the eye?
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell happened to your home.
ReplyDeleteprefer it the other way,

looks like a sales home.
I always thought dartmoor was in the middle of the moors I bit like when I was a child I thought the africans employed monkeys to shoot each other.. always hearing about the Congo Gorillas.
by the way Adrian Have A pint for me be careful not to get caught in the snow up there, mind not a bad place to be , the car park of a public house.
ReplyDeleteAdrian I am going out on a limb and say I think the bird is a Jackdaw although I cannot see any grey but the size and eye says Jackdaw to me....but I am not very good myself so wait till someone else confirms a Crow or Jackdaw.
ReplyDeleteI was in Princtown the back end of summer and bird wise we did very poorly as we were looking for Whinchats but it was a bit latish in the season for them. Well done with the mop and brush.
Staying in a pub car park, a pleasant view and a tidy van - what more could one want in life?
ReplyDeleteYour camper looks tidy, if I had one, it would untidy. Oh, and I love your photos.
ReplyDeleteYou bought a new van Adrian?
ReplyDeleteI have a small house here that needs cleaning, if you get this way lol
A lovely looking pub. I shall expect a full report on its contents ;)
Thanks one and all, I thought it was a Jackdaw. There is no grey, it hangs around a fair bit. wonder if someone hand reared it?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! The van looks great again now, all set for new adventures!
