Now I know I shouldn’t complain and I also know it will do precious little good if I do. I booked this site for four nights as it promised a lakeside woodland setting with internet. It is a massive site and after a good wander round I’m still undecided whether this is a caravan park in a wood or a wood in caravans.
We were out for over three hours this morning and for an hour this afternoon, struck a big fat zero as far as pictures go but we did catch a fleeting glimpse of a Red Deer. It gives me hope for a shot or two, we will go out predawn tomorrow and see what can be achieved.
It was here as well. I can’t make up my mind whether it’s me or the place but at this rate I will be very glad to get back to Patterdale on Monday.
I think I'd quickly grow depressed in that caravan-wood . . . or get to know the neighbours quickly and suddenly feel part of a community and not want to leave. Depends on who else is there!

I have tons of shots of "where the deer was" or "the tree that the bear was scratching its behind on" or "the flower that *was* pretty before I stumbled and stepped on it."
ReplyDeleteTiming is everything. lol!
Lucy, not my sort of pace I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteKrista, you and I are kindred spirits. Nice bit of wood though.
