It’s been a perfect day for weather but not very productive. We had an enjoyable hour watching frogs and Toads but no macro shots as they were all in the pool.
The river level has fallen quite dramatically during the week.
Me and my shadow, a common frog.
Even this Pied Wagtail was the other side of the river.
Tomorrow we are leaving Haltwhistle and going to the Kielder Forest for a week, a week that will be internet free I suspect. have a good week wherever you are.
Good to be out though.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the river.
The forest sounds promising. Have a safe journey.
A lovely frog, well I love 'em.
ReplyDeleteGosh, your frogs ARE different from ours! Have fun in the forest!
ReplyDeleteHave a good time in the Keilder. The last time I overnighted in a caravan totally 'in the middle of nowhere' was in the Keilder. Happy days.
ReplyDeleteI like that shot of the swimming frog and his shadow!
ReplyDeleteEven though your day wasn't as productive as you would have hoped. I enjoyed all your photo's ....I have yet to get a photo of a frog. Tried last year, could hear them but couldn't find them. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the frogs. Are you as mad as a bag of frogs? Hopefully the stars will be out in force. Have a nice trip
ReplyDeleteI didn't know frogs had horns!
ReplyDeleteI gather from your blogging-free week that you've been without internet as you suspected. Hope you'll have plenty of photos to blog when you find the blogsphere again.
Keith, ta, we'll see.
ReplyDeleteBob, so do I.
Pauline I'll do my best.
Gb, Let's hope so.
Dawntreader, it's the best of a bad lot.
Crista, They are very aware of shadows and I suspect vibration through the ground, I just sit down and they usually appear.
John, back on line after one of the most frustrating weeks of this journey. Character building! There are other ways of describing it.
