We had a drive out to Snapes Point today and a very pleasant stroll, admiring the changing vista of Salcombe.
Three young Swallows admiring me whilst I in turn admired them.
Alfie chatting to the Lurcher puppies.
Sloe berries and a cobweb, the cobweb not as defined as I would have liked and the sloes without the gin are something of a let down. Obviously one of those pictures.
The Lilac is past it’s prime, the world is starting to get an autumnal feel……..come to consider so is the author.
A view across Batson Creek and Salcombe.
It is a very pretty town with some of the most expensive real estate outside the capital.
It rained on the drive over, remained dry for our walk, now we have heavy thunder showers so that is probably it for today.
Tomorrow I have a choice between a steam rally or puppy day at the hunt kennels, with a bit of luck no choice……Both.
Lovely shots Adrian, I dig the Swallows and Alfie & mates. Also, the scene of Salcombe.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the swallows.
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely heading towards Autumn. Quite a few geese on the move across the village and the starlings are back with a vengeance.
I've never been to Salcombe. Why's it so expensive?
ReplyDeleteGreater appeal photos at the puppy day. I hope the weather improves. Wet puppies are less appealing.
Lovely shots Adrian. You are in a lovely part of the country . A lot of Autumn colours in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteBob, I only just caught the Swallows a few hours later they had flown the nest.
ReplyDeleteJohn, the summer seems to be drawing in very early.
Gb, it is very attractive on a good day. Money attracts money maybe? These puppies will be a year old but they are still grand dogs.
Trevor must admit to pushing the colour a little in a levels adjustment layer. Select the red channel and move the gamma slider left, select the blue and move it right. It is a grand spot.
Wow Adrian, that last one is spectacular. It's finally cooling down over here too, I'm both enjoying it and dreading the winter coming again.
ReplyDeleteGwendolyn, thank you, I like winter but it does semm to have been a short summer.
