A QUIET DAY. (13/06/16)

It is peaceful and quiet today, none of yesterdays drizzle and we had a good long walk this morning. The birds are singing and it has the feel of spring.
There are so many squirrels about that even I am managing a few shots but non are as sharp as I would like them to be.
Everywhere I look there are snowdrops.
Birds are singing, this is a Thrush.
Lichens, Old Man's Beard. This is starting to make me think of macro again.
Last night and early this morning I had another play with Audacity. I am pleased how clean this sound is but far less happy with my performance. Whatever, have a good week.

  1. Sweet photos all. I wish there were more snowdrops around here. Even when the weather turns, I seldom see snowdrops. Speaking of the weather turning, the snow has almost gone from the backyard. Still a bunch out front where it gets piled up by snow removal from street and driveway.

    1. Frances, O, the mixer, how I wish life were that simple. It's echoes and reverberations that cause the trouble.

  3. Love the photos. The squirrel isn't bad at all. They are hard to get because of their squirrelly movement I find.. The poems were great!

    1. Thanks Marie. I will try upping the shutter speed for the squirrels as they are usually in half light.

  4. For years I used to listen to Poetry Please with Roger McGough but got out of the habit. Now we have our own home brew version to look forward to.

  5. Now if you could combine the first poem with a picture of Trump..... Actually, I really did enjoy these. Well done. Oh yes--- So were the pictures. I remember doing live radio in San Francisco for years-- reading live commercials, breaking in with ad lib new reports, etc, never a mistake. Now--- if I tried to read those poems it would be stumble city. I'm too used to being able to edit. Anyway my thanks for the smiles this morning.

    1. Bill, I think it applies to all politicians......Is Trump a politician?
I recorded this three times and then cut out dead space and stutters and dropped in the best bits from another track. I then couldn't resist messing with reverb. I will try and get it off pat for the next one.

  6. We cannot stop the winter or the summer from coming. We cannot stop the spring or the fall or make them other than they are. They are gifts from the universe that we cannot refuse. But we can choose what we will contribute to life when each arrives. Gary Zukav
