VOYEZ LA DIFFERENCE

IMG_9779_edited-1 This mornings wander to the estuary was a bit on the wild side. Very windy with driving snow. Not very nice at all.

IMG_9775_6_7_tonemapped_edited-1 A strange country is the UK.

The other day GLO at PorcelainRose. posted some grand images of a girl in wind. I commented that it would be good to have hair. Glo is like having my very own Genie.

Thank you Glo.

That’s all for today, have a good weekend.

  1. Now it looks like home to me. (The wind and the snow.) And you look like you could go straight to Hollywood (although I supspect you might find it a bit too crowded for your liking)

    1. Monica, still snowing hard. I suspect I would hate Hollywood.

  2. I'm having a very very brief sortie onto Blogland having been at a tournament for nearly 10 hours today and then fed 8 of us this evening. So it was glorious to see your comparisons of the local scenes and then your whimsical endpiece. You are just such good value Adrian, you really are.

    1. Graham, I should have marked the spots yesterday. I don't think I can remember snow at sea level this late in the year.

  4. You look quite the dandy in those pictures Adrian.

I like the comparison pictures. Amazing how things can change so much in a day.
I went to the coast yesterday, but today I can't get down the track, and a few roads closed. So much for spring!

  5. Nice set of images Adrian, what a difference a day makes? Just think how boring it would be if every day was warm and sunny with a cloudless blue sky!....aaahh!...maybe tomorrow then?

Who's that beau at the end? I bet he could turn many a lady's head?

    Stay safe in the snow!...[;o)

  7. We are at sea level - well, not much above it - and we've got four inches and still it comes. Made the mistake of having my morning walk - so unpleasant. Howling freezing gale with snow makes me think GB may not be daft heading for Southern climes after all.

  8. John, I console myself with the thought that without the winter then I would not appreciate the hot, dry day we call summer.
I'm only just the other side of Morecambe Bay from you and up a little bit.

    1. Cheers Bob, I'm undecided whether to go for a comb over or a wig. I can't remember having hair. It seemed to have disappeared by my early twenties.

  10. Sun shining here today after a freakish wind, hail and snow storm over the last couple of days. Amazing to see the difference between your yesterday and today shots ~ as far as sunshine goes ~ it's hair today and gone tomorrow ;)

    1. Glo, thanks for the hair dressing.
There should be some brilliant shots taken around the Lake District this weekend but I'm still without wheels and it is too far to walk.
The forecast is for more of the same but it is easing off here. Forecasters are really only interested in the Home Counties and London. A great pity the tax folk don't share their attitude.

  15. Hi Adrian.. Sure glad I didn't let this one go by I just love the hair-do
the one with the blow hair-do is surely your style!! It is amazing how a persons looks can be changed!! The wind blown look makes you look like a womanizing playboy or perhaps hmmmm not sure I can put that here !!
You look very sophisticated in the other. The executive look ; )
Okay now.. I love these comparison photos...what a difference a day makes !! You sure are having crazy weather!!
