TWO HOURS. (10/12/13)

My new Kindle arrived this morning and I have spent two hours registering the bloody thing. There appears to be some method in Amazons madness as if I’d stolen someone else's account details I could steal books from them with ‘ONE CLICK’ . I was automatically directed to the home page to register the little darling. After an hour and a bit and two re-boots I was ready to send it back. Then I thought to look in the menu, it then dropped the Wi-Fi connection for the umpteenth time. If anyone has a similar problem registering a second Kindle to their account; ignore the auto set up in the home page and go to menu>settings>register and fill in your Amazon account details and it does it just perfek. As promised by Amazon you can then copy your library over free of charge. Excellent! If you do as I do and shop on your laptop then check that they are delivering books to the Kindle that works. It says on my order confirmation delivering to ADRIAN’S 2nd Kindle. You can change where it goes to in a drop down menu. This only applies to The Kara and Kevin two Kindles of this world.

I re-worked yesterdays post with a little twist. I was amazed I didn’t get dogs abuse. Not that I mind, I find criticism refreshing. Few artists are appreciated till they are dead._MG_1082_3_4_tonemapped_3 I swear it is straight… dead plumb it is. Thanks for all your feedback.

I’ll be off line till the weekend as the truck is going in for all that it went in for two weeks ago.

Enjoy yourselves.

    1. Bob, It's a good job I do cryptic crosswords. Kindle would have fooled me otherwise.

  2. These things are sent to try us Adrian!...but now that you've got it sorted you can 'one click' to your hearts content. Isn't it strange how they can make it so easy for us to spend our money?
The re-worked image looks much better now.
Good luck with the truck, and I hope all the work runs smoothly.
Have a good (rest of the) week...[;o)

    1. Trevor, it is odd that I can buy with one click. I like it though.
Thanks it's nice to have an editor.
The truck is a pain at the moment but my insurance on it has not gone up.
Royal Sun Alliance are spot on if bullied a bit.

  6. I like this version better. The houses particularly. Now that I've seen this one, the gray in the right hand corner is what I like least. I don't know how you would do anything with that without making the water look muddy. Maybe some highlights on it?

    1. David, it was an image that I rejected initially It was one that could be played with. Highlights could be added. The moon could be added.

  7. Horses for courses I suppose (especially if you shop at Iceland) but I prefer the first sometimes a perfectly straight, perfectly toned image can be a tad boring....that's an excuse I must remember to use, hope the van runs straight after all the work.

The van is still in the workshop. The new engine loom is causing problems. Bloody Italian electrics!

  11. I can imagine the frustration of trying to register your second Kindle ~ but good info to know, so thanks for sharing that. Frustrating about the truck, also! As for the photo, at least you didn't have to straighten out all the clouds ;)

    1. Glo, I love modern technology and old technology. Amazon did say that if i got the Kindle on my account then it would be automatically registered to my account. No worries they are a bit busy this time of year as they are busy doing what Santa used to manage with a sledge and a half dozen Reindeer.
