It’s a beautiful day with barely a cloud in the sky and for once the wind is just a zephyr. I am sixty four today and have done a card to celebrate.
I lit a candle in the wee burn. If anyone else has a birthday today then feel free to share the card.
Have a really good year……..I will do my best to.
Oh ~ what a lovely surprise Adrian. Happy Birthday ~ and yes, my very best wishes to you for the year ahead. Make sure you do something special for yourself to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteCarol, more of a shock really. I've nothing planned but may have a wander out for sunset. Many thanks.
DeleteHappy Birthday Adrian!
ReplyDeleteI can say without one bit of doubt, this is best birthday card I've ever seen! I love how you super-imposed (if that is the right word) the candle on stream. It is just great!
Sixty four is not bad, I'll be 66 in April.
David, thank you. Yes; superimposed will do fine. Shot against a black background then plonked on and blend mode changed to either scree or lighten. I think I settled on lighten.
DeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark. It will be quiet.
DeleteHappy birthday, for the rest of today Adrian.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should know better than to be trying to start forest fires at your age!!!...[;o)
Trevor, thanks again. Not be long till yours. I seem to recall that, like the queen you had two last year.
DeleteI did pop it in the burn.
I hope you have a very good day and a very good year, Adrian! I'll be 73 in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteThere is a wee typo in your title - (01/02/14)? Shouldn't that be (01/03/14)?
Bob, thank you. I've corrected the Muppetry. I need a proof reader. It seems I have one.
DeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY ADRIAN. Hope your day is good and your year even better.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the smiles - keep blogging - I don't understand any of the technnical stuff but the rest is always smile making! Best wishes Pat
Pat, many thanks. Glorious sunshine here so it couldn't be better.
DeleteHappy Birthday Adrian. That's why the sun is shining...obviously!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, thank you, it is a beautiful day but I fear the wind is about to return.
DeleteYou share your birthday with the Canadian pop star and recreational drug taker - Justin Bieber. Happy Birthday Justin! Happy Birthday Adrian! Hope you have lots of fun together!
ReplyDeleteYP, I have heard the name Justin Bieber but know nothing about him. I know a little more now. He's a druggy and a singer. Did he win I Want to be an X-Factor or something?
DeleteThank you.
I think he is your long lost love child.
DeleteHappy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bas.
DeletePreciosa...Felicidades!!! Te deseo que pases un buen dia ;)
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
Gracias Laura, para ser sincero, es mucho lo mismo que cualquier otro, pero gracias de nuevo. No me gusta ser viejo.
DeleteHappy Birthday Adrian, a candle in the wee burn?...sounds painful:o)
ReplyDeleteThanks Douglas. The dogs inspired by the sunshine decided to go for a swim. Stinking wet dogs in the van. That is worse than a candle in the burn.
DeleteHope you are enjoying a wonderful birthday, Adrian ~ many happy returns, and here's to many more :) Now I've got the Beatles song playing in my head...
ReplyDeleteGlo, thank you. I never dreamed I'd make it this far. Sorry for the ear worm.
DeleteWell, happy birthday. I hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteRed, just off across the road for a beer. Then an early night and a bit more book.
DeleteHappy Birthday Adrian, Hope you had a wonderful Birthday. Hope you didn't party to hard.
ReplyDeleteHorst, they plied me with drink. The flute doesn't work with slow fingers. I went back to the camper and got a couple of penny whistles. I can work them Norwegian Wood is a good one for me.
DeleteOh Adrian!! I wish you happy birthday, from my heart! Happy birthday
ReplyDeleteLaura, thank you. Get a flight over.
DeleteHappy Birthday, Adrian. You share your day with one of my heroes. My cousin's son turns 25 today. Born with a benign tumor (only discovered at age 3) on his brain stem, he went through all sorts of difficulties, surgeries, chemo (in later years), radiation and poor prognoses. He's a university graduate, independent world traveler, mover, shaker and and group organizer.. and doing great. Happy Day to the both of you.
ReplyDeleteHilary, send him the card. I trust he has survived though doubt he is grateful to have done.
DeleteBeing a cripple is never easy. I know I am one.
I hope you enjoyed your day Adrian and have many more.
ReplyDeletepeter
Peter so do I. Thanks.
DeleteHappy Birthday fellow blogger & photographer. I love the card very much.
ReplyDeleteThank you Maria.
DeleteWell, well, well. I missed a real trip to Blogland yesterday and look what happened. I missed your Birthday. So I can't wish you a happy Birthday but I can wish you a very happy, contented, health and successful year ahead. So that's just what I'll do.
ReplyDeleteGraham, many thanks. It is that pesky date line that is at fault.
DeleteAm I late, too? Ah well, best wishes for the coming year anyway. At least that is one candle you didn't burn at both ends!
ReplyDeletePauline, no worries. I'm long past caring to a day or month. Many thanks.
DeleteBelated best wishes Adrian. All the best people have a birthday in March ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks John, all is back to normal.
DeleteHi Adrian and best wishes for your new word. I finally found out where Java Script had turned itself off and made up a password complicated enough for Google so I am able to comment again. Jean
ReplyDeleteJean, blogger can be a pain at times.
DeleteHappy B-Day, Adrian. Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cat.
DeleteA bit late.. but
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Adrian!
Mine was the 20th of February (b.1950)
I'm just a smidgen older...
Laura, an even more belated Happy Birthday to you then.
DeleteBelated happy birthday, Adrian!
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances.
DeleteMuch belated Happy Birthday. Concerned about the proximity of the flame to the trees ... a rebellious streak no doubt :-)
ReplyDeleteJay, I'm surprised I got this far. Firing a forest is one way of celebrating.
