AWAY.

I have been away for a week doing all things horsey. Well not the complicated things, filling hay nets, fetching horses in and taking them out. I enjoy being around animals so it's been a good week. One naughty horse has decided that chasing the dogs is a good game, a pastime which I do my best to discourage. The dogs think it's fun but I can see it ending in tears if not nipped in the bud.
These pictures are not of the best as I used a strainer to rest the camera on.

A FROSTY PADDOCK AND LOCH LEVEN.

I'm back to Auchtermuchty this morning, have a good weekend.

  1. I thought you'd been a bit quiet, Adrian! I suspect that the change did you a power of good, even if you were kept busy. I guess that a strainer is an equestrian item, rather than something to keep the tea leaves out of your tea?!?

    Best wishes - - - Richard

    1. Richard, I spend too much time fencing. A strainer is the big post in a fence that takes the strain. The fence posts are only there to support the wire and mesh. Sorry about that and yes it was a good week.

  2. Adrian, I guess it's time to take a well earned rest, after your busy week of horse wrangling?
    Have a good one...[;o)

    1. Trevor, they are good horses so not much wrangling required. I don't like resting all the time..life is too short.

    1. It was a beautiful morning Graham. Not a breath of wind so very clement.

    1. Pauline, we have it all to look forward to. It's the rain I hate.

    1. Margaret, thank you it is getting that time of year but is much warmer than it was a fortnight ago.

  6. Thanks to your mention of the word Auchtermuchty and my insatiable curiosity (which I hear once killed a cat), I poked around in the computer and now have seen photographs of your fair town including a statue of Jimmy Shand, and I have been introduced to the 15th-16th century poem, The Wife of Auchtermuchty. Many thanks.
