I did wonder!
ReplyDeleteGraham, tree lights either real or virtual are a real pain.
DeleteWhat a shame that you're in the dark Adrian!...I can remember the times when the Christmas tree lights 'blew' and you had to go to each light in the string in turn, remove it and pop in the white spare untill you'd found the one that had blown, and it always turned out to be one towards the end of the string...happy times!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Adrian and all the best for the New Year....[;o)
Trevor it was and what is worse mine used to either blow or come loose whilst sitting in the loft.
ReplyDeleteLooks good, even without lights, Adrian - probably because it doesn't reek of the commercial circus that Christmas has become!
ReplyDeleteThis year it's the candle bridge, not the tree lights, that let me down. It's worked for years without a single bulb blowing, but came to it this year and it wouldn't light. Put the meter on each bulb and for some inexplicable reason 4 out of 7 were open circuit and didn't 'ring'. Ended up buying a whole replacement unit as I couldn't be arsed to mess with it any more!
Have a wonderful Christmas, and my best wishes to you for 2019 - - - Richard
Richard, it probably is for the best.
DeleteThe struggles I used to have with lights. The LED ones should be more reliable.
I like it just as it is. Subtle. Have a lovely Christmas, Adrian.
ReplyDeleteFrances, I usually can't resist adding bling. I must have been a magpie in a previous incarnation.
DeleteVery best wishes to the three of you.
ReplyDeleteCheers John and the same to you two.
