CROSSING THE BOUNDARY

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

A tribute to MARK LYTHGOE who died yesterday.

A gentle man, a fellow sailor, a fellow cryptic solver, a devoted husband to Lynne and my very best friend.

Left us in the lurch again you old bugger.

  9. I wish people would stop saying lost. If you lose something You may find it. as A child I was told my parents were lost. I was told my uncles (2) were lost in the war. After my accident as a 7 year old I was told I had lost part of my brain because I could not remember anything pre the accident and still don't.
My best friend died at the age of 36 thats 25 years ago And I miss him even to this day but I have not lost any of the memories I have of my best friend. Neither will you Adrian. give him a good send off thats something else you will always remember.

  10. Adrian, you must be feeling pretty desolate. It's a pretty bleak landscape you are in but, nevertheless dramatic and lovely. Hope walking in it will wear down some of the grief.

Bit thrown at first with his wife being called Lynne!

  11. Thank you all very very much. It means so much. Would have meant an awful lot to Mark were he ever capable of handling a computer without it imploding on him. For a man who knew how to stop supersonic air trashing jet engines he was totally beaten by the vagaries of a lap top.

  12. Adrian, my condolences. It is very sad when someone we love dies. This photo is a fantastic tribute.

I'm sure he'll live on in your heart forever. That's where we tend to keep our (most) valuables I think.
