THE OLD HILL (24/01/10)

We are staying alongside The Old Hill Inn, just as well with the weather stubbornly remaining cold and damp. At least we have somewhere to go for a warm and a glass of water.....Falling down water that is.

The real reason for this post is the Landlady has generously offered me the loan of her internet connection. So assuming the walls aren't too thick we should be able to upload a few posts this evening.

Tomorrow we are hoping to go waterfall and pothole hunting.

  1. Good to have you back online. Feels like spring here now, but it looks distinctly wintry in Ingleborough. Hope the weather's good for your waterfall hunting.

  2. PS. You can always have a drop of lime in the beer if it gets to strong or is that Ice.

  4. Like busses - nothing for weeks and three hundred and sixty arrive at once.

Sure you are still in England? This scenery is extraordinary!

  5. Hi Adrian.
I was wondering what had happened to you ...glad you are back again. The Old Hill Inn looks a place to pass an hour or two in..or even more if the weather is bad. You are in a wonderful county now and I think you will pull off a lot of atmospheric shots. Wish I was up there again coming down the Buttertub Pass and seeing the hills covered in snow and mist. Looking forward to the next episode.

  10. Hi all, sorry for the interruption in service. Had a major hard drive failure. Which has necessitated a new drive. replaced the data drive at the same time to be sure and have installed Windows 7. 99% was backed up so no real damage. Hopefully a day tomorrow should see us all singing and dancing again.

  11. Hi Adrian.
I wondered what had happened to you..thought maybe the pub was a little too cosy. Glad to have you back as we are all waiting (like the Pickwick Papers) for the next instalment.
