PUSHING THE BOAT OUT. (01/08/13)

Today is a special day. I was hoping to treat you all to a posh animated movie but it went belly up. Three times I fouled up and so I gave up. I’ll keep plugging away and eventually I’ll produce a stunning rolling 3D graphic.

This post is the one thousandth Adrian’s Images. _V0G7364  I decided to push the boat out. The Isle of Lewis takes some pushing.

On my way back from this Herculean task I called at the butchers and fishmongers. I really pushed the boat out.

_V0G7365  To celebrate I purchased a sirloin steak and half a dozen Dublin Bay Prawns.

_V0G7366  These are the biggest I’ve seen and are dead. Last time I bought some they were alive and by the time I got them into the pan it was a moot point as to who was eating who. Vicious little devils they are.

I’d like to thank all my readers past and present for your perseverance. It’s not easy composing gibberish and it must be far harder to read.

Thank you one and all.

  1. Hi Adrian You do make me laugh. Sorry about your video trails. Pushing the boat out,was that before or after the steak??? Good old Irish prawns, no better in the whole wide world! Congratulation on your thousandth photo.

  2. Margaret, thank you very much. The steak is for tonight. These are Langoustine if we are being posh they are just called king prawns in Scotland. They all look the same to me.
I'm just trying to learn Photoshop's more esoteric abilities. They far exceed mine.

    1. I've just replied to it Margaret. I'm busy getting rid of sheep tics so will look later. I'll give the dogs another dose of One Spot tomorrow. I'm knee deep in tics and failed to count them so one or two will have escaped. It's like living in a zoo.

  6. So then you're saying I never arrived until your 999th post. Well, I'll be hornswaggled if I'm going to go back and take in numbers 1 through 998. I mean, I may do some of them, but life is just too short.

    1. Rhymeswithplague, Life is too short at my age and you have a few years on me.
I used to think I was as old as the lady I felt. I know I'm old now. They won't let me feel them.
To save yourself time look at the first and a couple in the middle. Even I don't read the back catalog.

Je moet me vergeven. Ik weet niet Nederlands, maar het is zeer vergelijkbaar met Engels. Behalve voor de lange woorden.

As for your writing, I hate to break this to you but it's not far behind your photography skill. Well maybe a little bit but still really good.

Big Congratulations on 1000 posts! I doubt I'll ever make that.

  15. That many posts certainly deserves a good celebration and I'm sure you will do it justice. I wonder where along your journey I joined in? The fact that I can't remember how or when I found you doesn't really tell me much. Could have been yesterday and I could still have forgotten. Keep up the good work and I'll happily stay for the next 1,000.

  20. I could quite happily eat the langoustines if someone prepared them for me Adrian but please don't ask me to prepare them and then eat them. I bet you never thought you'd be doing 1000 posts when you started. I'm glad you have though 'cos it's been a very enjoyable journey travelling with you. Congratulations and many more of them.

    1. Graham, the first ten were the hardest.
Preparing half a dozen is not a problem. These were easy as they were still warm from the boiler.
