A PASTIME.

This is very similar to the posterizing I did but it is a tractor and not an attractive lady.
The first segment is the node tree I used and then the original video followed by a pencil sketch interpretation and finally some colouring in. The singing isn't me it's a wonderful lady called Amy Sayer and the song is from the Wild Tape.
John at MIDMARSHJOTTINGS inspired me as he did a similar thing and he did his whilst driving so much more complicated and better.
Have fun.

  1. I like the first effect. You could do a cartoon or pencil style video with it.

    1. Yes Mersad. The footage is critical. Not too many greys and shadows. After Effects has a similar cartoon effect included.

  2. Looking good. The edge detection worked well.
    Thanks for the link .
Not done while driving though. Normal video taken then processed later.

    1. John, yes I have now developed the edge business further. I hope folk realise that you weren't multitasking with the video. The Buzzies would be round quicker than one could say Tommy Robinson.

  3. Fascinating stuff, Adrian. I particularly like the 'edge detect' clip. It's sad to reflect that, these days, I have more use for a tractor than an attractive lady!

  4. Richard, yes it's half working. I think what I have to do is reduce the colours to the three primaries and then just increase them a little. I am still playing with it but will go back to modelling as I prefer that.
