SNOWMAN CAN SPEAK.

It was Lidl day today, not a bad shop, they had plenty of £1.50p veg boxes. Not bad value and a reasonable selection if one ignores the fact they snuck a pomegranate in.

Earlier I spent an hour or so attempting to make a snowman talk. I really do wonder about myself.

As you can probably tell I didn't waste to much time modelling.

I used Shape Keys and a driver to animate the mouth. I think I'll try using a proper armature next time and model a better head.

Here is the movie,

I won't have time to play tomorrow so enjoy the weekend.

  1. Frosty's voice reminds me of someone. I just can't put my finger on it.

    Remarkable!

    1. Bob, I confess it was me pretending to be Frosty.

  2. Frosty worked very well. His mouth moved in the right places. Very clever. Enjoy whatever it is you are doing tomorrow.

    1. Rachel, I've animated things to sound before. The difficult bit is getting the bit of script written that makes things move the correct amount. It's only around ten characters long but for some reason Blender keeps saying it can't understand. Bet I could get a job in IT with the NHS.

    2. Nothing exciting, home cleaning. I have a visitor coming to stay next weekend and the place is a shithole.
Done enough for one day, I just have a vegan stir fry to do (with steak in) and then I can carry on slobbing about as usual.

  3. I think Frosty looked quite credible. Sounded mellow, too.

    1. Pauline, not as mellow as he could have sounded had I had a nip or two of the falling down water.
