LOCK UP THE SILVER (07/06/11)

I’m back, I'm still not feeling great but that should limit the more extreme excesses. Looking at the new header I'm a little concerned that it may not.

Not to worry a restrained post from Barnard Castle.

_6064294_5_6_7_8_tonemapped_edited-1 Dappled light in the woods…………….Our regular dog walk.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA A Buttercup…………..one of many different ones this is the two inch tall Buttercup.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Daisy…………………I couldn’t get lower than this.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA     Forget-me–not. it isn’t but I forget what it is..about an eight of an inch across, it is! All the macros taken with a Sigma 150mm, f1/2.8 lens………I have had this lens for six months and I still don’t do it justice. Has more buttons and twiddly bits on the lens than there are on the camera. Just as well it’s a prime lens. I’d be way out of my depth with a zoom version. It would be nice to have a smaller aperture than f22.

I have been popping round your blogs……..comments have been almost non existent. I’m sorry.

Tomorrow is going to be another flower day. I also have to find another Stag Beetle. I found one, popped him in a lidless Tupperware dish, dropped that in the fridge with a view to posing him for a magic comeback image. I’ve only just found him underneath the cheese box………….non the worse for wear so he has gone back under the stone whence he came.

That’s all for today…………..depression is a real bugger. The upside is great though. Roll on the high times.

  4. Yea I was blown away by the excess of your header !! Good use of the light in the woods and the last one is my favourite. I think it's fair to say that we are all with you at this time even if it is in spirit. Look after yourself.

  10. I'm relieved to know you are OK and back blogging...thought for a moment we'd all have to don our wellies and search the bogs and moors! We might have tripped over you lying down taking photos of short daisies...amazing photo! Also glad to know that your sense of humour is intact! I had a day with Eagles and have posted them ~ they are a great inspiration to soar aloft! Looking forward to more lovely photos from you.
