TIME. (08/07/16)

Time flies, it’s almost haylage time again.

It was raining hard last night so I took a tripod and cable release out to get some drops without strobe reflections. It was too windy and had blown the drops away.

There were a few droplets but it wasn’t worth hanging around for as it started raining again.

More in hope than expectation the bailer was dragged out and given a good clean, I took some photos and got wet again. I’m getting more than a little tired of being wet and so is the camera.

All sparkling bright and ready to bail.

Have a good weekend.

  3. Marie, the machines are a blessing but they probably miss more than was hand harvested.

  4. Raining here today as well--- unusually cool. Better than unusually hot. Very vivid color.

    1. Bill, NIK HDR is to blame but I rather like them.

    1. Lynda, should be blown and washed off after use but then water gets in the bearings and causes no end of tears.

  6. While I'm waiting for haylage time again here, I'll be happy looking at that fine machine of yours in action. Anything will be better than the dreary weather here.

  7. Your HDR images are super, Adrian. I was thinking of paying for Photomatix, and then saw NIK was free via Google. Just downloaded it and will be playing with it later!

    Best wishes - - Richard

    1. Richard, NIK usedd to be £400.00p and it's good it is wonderful for free. Photomatix has much more going for it; mainly in de-ghosting. These images were processed in Photomatix for de-ghosting the ones with the man in and the steam then dropped into Nik for the kick factor. Photoshop does have HDR but it halos and greys out neither of which I like. I always drop stuff back into Photoshop for curves/levels/vibrance/compression. With NIK I have settled on Deep 1 as a preset and sometimes reprocess at Detailed save both and mask what I want from the two in Photoshop. I didn't bother here but images and four and five would have benefited by getting rid of the dark red towards the top of the bailer I do like playing.

  8. You must look at my photos and despair. I rarely do anything with them at all.

    1. Graham, no I don't . I always mess with my pictures, it doesn't necessarily improve them but i enjoy it and like to get all the value from the click.

  9. We certainly got wet at our outdoor Celtfest event on the weekend, and it did hamper my photography.
