The view from the van looking across Falmouth Bay and into Carrick Roads.
St Keverne Parish Church, I spent some considerable time looking for a sign telling me which saint this church was dedicated to. A senior moment indeed! It could have been worse, had the vicar or verger been handy I would have asked, broadcasting my stupidity to the world......Come to think!!!
Lord knows what a cannon is doing in the church yard, not that sort of cannon, black frock and funny hat, the bang bang sort. On reflection, I expect the Lord does know.
Sheep admiring the truck, lit by the late afternoon sun.
This boat is about as far from home as it can get in England.
The forecast for tomorrow is grim, storm force winds and heavy rain. So will most likely be van bound.
Adrian, it was so wonderful to go 'on respite' with you! What beautiful, beautiful countryside/ seaside. More and more, I have a yearning to return to my homeland - especially to walk where my ancestors walked, to delve into their history etc. Take the cottage, for example - who lived there? How did they live and what did they do for a living? What type of social life did they have? What did they believe in? How can one not think of these types of things, especially when they are all laid out for us on your blog... ha!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... off to 'dream'...
A lovely batch of photographs Adrian you must be pleased with them. There is an award waiting for you on A&T Birding if you would like it.
