ANTHROPOMORPHISM (19/11/10)

There is still no sign of the fog lifting and consequently little sign of anything else.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Mum did you know you have two black birds on your back…………….

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Don’t mind us.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Psst! There’s a bloke taking our picture over there…………….I know……….probably never seen a sheep before.

So back to the bin and a root about for something more interesting than fog.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Did I say fog I meant frog.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABeen into the bin and come up with a few from April this year……..A Great Spotted Woodpecker.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA     One of my favourite birds is the Nuthatch.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA      What have I done this time?

That’s all for today, have a good weekend.

  1. Great post Adrian. Love the dialogue with the sheep and Jackdaws.
The two Robins at the end are excellent captures.

  2. Keith, Ta I've posted the Robins before one of my favourites. This fog is doing my head in. Bloody stuff is following me about.

  6. Emma, thanks......this weather gets worse.

Trevor, I hope the E-5 is worth having. I'll have a good look today before I decide as thI'm meeting Mr Olympus. I'll take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Jolynne, the Jackdaws and sheep were a gift. I've seen them doing it before. Hunting around for tics in the fleece. In spring they grab beaks full of wool for their nests.

  9. Really humorous it is, and the photographs; they are in my top ten.

  10. I love the Nuthatch - I haven't got one on digital.

It's hard to realise that one day that young Robin will be disposing of his parent by pecking its brains out. Looks so, well, Robbinish, at that age.

  11. Bob, that is praise indeed from the master of photographing our feathered friends. Thanks.

GB, I have dozens. Never got one then this year they turn up in every frame.....like lamp posts.
These two Robins I thought were mature. They spent a couple of days disputing territory around my feeders. They are aggressive but not to humans. They love us, unlike the Wren....Am I the only man to have been attacked by a Wren and Little Owl in the same day?

  12. What a great set of pictures Adrian. I don't think I would attempt serious wildlife pictures after seeing these.

  13. Jay, thank you. I follow many blogs that put my pictures to shame. I keep on trying and sometimes it works.
